Yes, it does. If you take a few minutes, you can certainly come up with reasons of your own as to why. I can easily come up with a false belief making the lives of people richer, leading to a rather tragic end.

I think that when people believe in something they think it's true, no matter if other people think it is false or not. If it makes their life richer to believe in something then yes, I think it's a good thing. Personally I don't have any real beliefs as I cannot prove any of the religions to be true. People have told me to take things on faith, but I have trouble with that.

For one thing how do you know it is false? Another thing if the person knew it was false he would move on. If you know it is false it will no longer make your life richer. Anything false does not make your life richer if it does you need some help.

If you sincerely believe something that is false, wouldn't you be sincerely wrong? If the lie someone believes in leads to death, wouldn't you want to know the truth?

"Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." (John 14:6)
