You're not going to find any shorter explanations, because we, as atheists, kind of demand that things... oh, I dunno... make sense! We don't have the luxury of just saying something like "Da ooniverce ecsists so der hav 2 b a gud! Duuur." We actually have to think about things, so the explanations wind up being significantly longer.

Atheists DO have their own apologist websites. Go to any public university website, or their affiliates, and you'll see a plethora of them.

For those who have no idea what "apologetics" means, here's the definition:

1. The branch of theology that is concerned with defending or proving the truth of Christian doctrines.

2. Formal argumentation in defense of something, such as a position or system.

In the case of atheists, definition #2 would probably be best.

"So why do I provide this up? that is to not assert how lots wiser we believers are than those godless, actuality-suppressing heathen. There, yet by using the grace of God, bypass I. that is to motivate Christians to not waste their time in stupid arguments attempting to persuade so-called atheists that there's a God. They pay interest to there's a God. of their guts they sense it." Wow, i have were given seen some truly conceited posts from Christians on accurate the following, yet this takes the cake. Whoever wrote this has apparently by using no ability gained a controversy antagonistic to an atheist. once you may want to favor to motel to insulting or demeaning the debate, you pay interest to you've lost.

I'm sure atheistic apologetic sites exist, but why would you want to link to an apologetic site? Apologetics is the art of harmonizing discrepancies via unsubstantiated speculation. It's entire purpose is to keep open the possibility that a particular position is correct, as opposed to trying to determine whether or not it is correct.

There are tons of high quality sites out there, such as internet infidels, and even talkorigins (which is a site devoted to honest inquiry involving creation/evolution). I really like Cliff Walker's site, positiveatheism.org.

I think the mainstream religions do a good enough job of showing how rediculous their own ideologies are - they don't need any help from the atheists.

Atheists do not need to apologize for introducing any nonsense and call it belief and imply it to themselves and others!
