Some people believe that religion, any religion, must exist in human society as an inevitable factor for the formation of communities. (No religion= No society or, inversely religion=society) And some people believe that religion is great thing to have in a society, but is not integral to the formation of a society. (No religion =? No society). What's your opinion?

He made me His hand cut diamonds. He makes me sit and glisten like a star as He wears me on His being. I am His little girl and I was made by Him His little goddess. Isnt it true that children are smaller versions of the parents ? I feel this inner view of myself causes me to glisten thru life and makes me very stable thru its great soul challenges as well as the human condition we have to endure among others. Please comment.

Free will is the ability to make decisions which hold equal consequences. For example I can chose to eat an apple or an orange.

But if someone comes with a gun and holds it onto your head and tells you. You are free to eat either the apple or the orange but if you eat the apple I will shoot you in the head.

In that case it's not really free will because no one will die to eat an apple. The guy with the gun just wants to disclaim any responsibilities and blames the victim.

Therefore, you all know that the choice bewteen heaven or hell is not really a choice and it's masquerading as a choice in an attempt to hide the fact that it's a direct threat and you have no choice.

If someone comes to you and claims he has conversations with aliens, claims he sees aliens and one day, when he dies he wants to board an alien ship to go to another galaxy. You will diagnose this guy as a Schizo and will force drugs, electric shocks and lock up this guy in an attempt to force those crazy beliefs out of his head.

But how come you leave alone people who claim to talk to God (prayer) and who want to go to heaven after they die.

Those are crazy beliefs too. Are you just too chicken to attack a well accepted belief and prefer to attack less accepted ones because they are more easily depicted as crazy ?

it seems to me that like 10 years ago, evolution was widely accepted as true. or is it just that christian fundementalists are talking louder now. or has it been the same all along and im just noticing it now. im scared that we are heading into medieval times again. is this dark ages episode 2? or is it just my paranoia.

If you tell your shrink that you FEEL the presence of aliens then they will lock you up, drug you up, shock you up and basically make mince meats out of your brains, all by force in an attempt to force this "feeling" out of your heads.

If you tell them that you FEEL the presence of God, then they will simply ignore this and let you go.

Isn't this hypocrisy ?

some christians like JW and christadelphians never join the armed forces stating that its against the teachings of christ. but as a catholic i believe that its not wrong to join the army of a nation that wants to bring peace to the world.
