it seems to me that like 10 years ago, evolution was widely accepted as true. or is it just that christian fundementalists are talking louder now. or has it been the same all along and im just noticing it now. im scared that we are heading into medieval times again. is this dark ages episode 2? or is it just my paranoia.

Dhyana is a great example of what im talking about. all this kind of talk disgusts me. it is complete superstition. im opposed to religion because i like to think rationally and use my head instead of following some guy you think is in the sky blindly. even christians should be disgusted at what Dhyana said because who is she to tell everyone when the world is, she doesnt know!

i really dont believe there has been an increase in anti christianism but it would be great if there was. actually it would be great if there was a huge increase in atheism but i kind of think its the opposite.

Yes, I'm from India and there has been a resurgence in Hindu fundamentalism too. I think it's a response to Islamic fundamentalist terrorism. Religious fundamentalism has no place in 21st century. It does not matter whether they are muslims, christians, hindus or jews, religious fundamentalism must be destroyed.

I think there's a sad and unfortunate trend toward uber-Christianity, which is fed by the very rich conservative base. I believe America's glory days are over. We were the best country in the world for 75 years or so, but the USA is now on a backward spiral.

Yes there has been an upswing. Also with Christian freak out nuts! Like Fred Phelps in Topeka Ks. going to funerals of soldiers that served their country, picketing and calling them fags (god I hate that word). If you want to see a real free for all, listen to Phelps wife on Fox news. Go to Break.com then go to movies, scroll down aways and on the right you will see a video entitled "Crazy lady on Fox" you will be tempted to stop it halfway but struggle and watch the whole thing. Theres only one excuse for that, inbreeding or something worse.

part of it is a response to the sudden anti-Christian movement.... the Priests sexual abuse scandals, the perception that the war is against muslims (as opposed to being against the suicide bombing woman-oppressing nuts who represent a small fraction of muslims), and the aclu touring the country suing anyone even whistling a religious song in a public place. Frankly, I don't like the "fundies" much either, but you know they are going to respond to the HUGE increase in Christian bashing.

It is sad, but true that in this age of information we live in, people are so overwhelmed by data, that they seem to want something that they can just accept at face value, without having to think it through.
In other words, let someone else do the thinking and logic for them and just accept what they are told.

I gained Tongues and Interpretation in English. It got here certainly that I doubted it. A Indian woman asked me to desire for her and English got here out. i replaced into ashamed or did no longer desire to look strange. She later advised me it replaced into real. Do i've got faith the present is real? i could have a be conscious come out...yet i would not dare circulate on youtube. i'm no longer that useful. consistent with threat that's what began me on a quest... i've got faith interior the presents and that i gained the Baptism of the Holy Spirit.

Yes, definetly. There have been dozens of books written on this. It is the fault of the evangelical church, who seeks to scare everyone into believeing that the world is coming to an end.

With 'born again' Bush in office, those fundies who think they should rule our nation have had more of a voice. But what it means is that they just showed their darkness loud and clear. One has to see evil to erase it out ; )
