Why would I be sick of a fact?
In the 19th century, biologists provided evidence from the comparative study fo current forms of life, their georgraphical distribution and th fossil record of extinct organisms. In the 20th century, scientists working in new branches of biology (such as biochemistry and genetics) provided much more evidence. These efforts were recently crowned by the molecular biologists: The information contained in the DNA and proteins of living things ended the search for more evidence. Scientists call evolution a theory because, in their terminology, a theory is a set of principles, but they regard it as a fact!
