"fake" religion? One's religion is subjective, it could be real to one, fake to another. A religion is really a concept or an opinion.

Thee are no such thing as 'fake religions' they are all equally real. Now as to the question of why people feel the need to have invisible friends, and made up stories of GAWDS to explain the world, that is another question.
People evolved from the darkness when all things were mystery and they did not understand, so there had to be a "superman" who did things, be it Zeus, Apollo, Mungu, or the SUN God, or the River God, or the _____________ (fill in the blank) God. As Science became understood, the old ignorance hung on, and still does today.
Who can believe in GAWD UH who kills babies, buries villages, floods hundreds of thousands in tsunamis, etc? These things just happen. GOD is not involved because there is no god.
Life can exist and be happy without GOD to explain or blame things on. Try it... you won't be zapped by a bolt from on high, unless you're foolish enough to golf in the afternoon in Colorado.

I am with Dante too. Define fake religion and logic of that definition.
There is no such thing as fake religion as far as I am concerned.

Religions are whatever anyone believes; just because you think one is fake doesn't mean that it is.
Yes, some beliefs can be absurd - but someone somewhere has the right to preach those beliefs. As they say, "Variety is the spice of life"

People need the mythology of religions in order to absolve themselves of the responsibility of their own actions.
I also believe that the Human Psyche is at an infantile stage where Fantasy is still important to them

all those who are worshipping god in any name or any form, are actually worshipping the Real God...all are correct on their way

probably because they are not even aware of they are involved in one, also it depends on your thinking also of what is a fake religion to others they may be very real
