How can God create himself when he created everything else-including matter- when scientifically it would be impossible?

okay, this is one of those things that christians like to believe that really makes no sense to an atheist, so bear with me...im just trying to learn why you think the way you do.

in order to feel emotion, one must have a brain, correct? that brain can process the emotions and respond accordingly. brains are also physical matter. still with me?

now, according to christains, god does not have a physical body. well, seeing love is an emotion, emotions are formed by brains, and brains are physical matter, how can a being without a physical body possibly love anything?

as stated above, i am just trying to see why you people think how you do.

I was going to ask what you thought his favorite flavor would have been, and then I realized he is totally still alive, right? So he must have tried Jell-O, and it would be reasonable to assume he had some sort of preference. Any body ever seen him eating Jell-O? Or just what do you think it would be? Type away!!

I have built this logic chain. what do you think of it (not what you think of my position but I want to know if there is a logic fault)
!. God either:
A is or
B is not
2. we can either
A know him
B not know him, which is functionally equal to1. B
3 He is
A able to communicate with us
B unable to communicate with us = 2 B
4. If we can know him He is either
A honest with us or
B dishonest which is equal to 2. B
5. He is
A able to continually maintain his truth for us
B unable to do the same which is = 2 B
6 Mankind is
A unable to confound God's ability
B able to confound God's ability Which is = 5 B

Starting with faith (either God is or he is not, our choice to believe either), I cannot see anything more plain than this. what do you think?

1. Homosexuality is not natural. Real Americans always reject unnatural things like eyeglasses, polyester, and air conditioning.

2. Gay marriage will encourage people to be gay, in the same way that hanging around tall people will make you tall.

3. Legalizing gay marriage will open the door to all kinds of crazy
behavior. People may even wish to marry their pets because a dog has
legal standing and can sign a marriage contract.

4. Heterosexual marriage has been around a long time and hasn't changed at all; women
are still property, blacks still can't marry whites, and divorce is still illegal.

5. Straight marriage will be less meaningful if homosexual marriage were
allowed; the sanctity of Brittany Spears' 55-hour just-for-fun marriage would be destroyed.

6. Heterosexual marriages are valid because they produce children.
Homosexual couples, infertile couples, and old people shouldn't be
allowed to marry because our orphanages aren't full yet, and the world
needs more children.

If god could create the MULTIVERSE so much beauty then how could he create a hell. Or is the God of the New Testament a DIFFERENT GOD than the one of the Old Testament and the One of the old Testament is not worth worshipping? Now my opinion is that there is no hell and Christians worship a completely different God than the one of the old testament for Jesus taught a message of tolerance and peace. Now what do you think?

Has anyone heard of him? Are his teachings more similar to Hinduism or Buddism or original? Its the only really good stuff I have found and have looked at everything on death. Why isnt there more quality, practical and spiritual advice on death out there? Can you recommend anything? How do you feel about death?

krajlicatabiaa is/was one of my favorite regular anwerers on here. she always showed respect for everybody and showed a bright, funny and smart personality.

she got suspended from this site for asking a question in a foreign language.

66% of her answers were chosen as best answers! I think she's a loss to the Yahoo!Answer community.
i don't know her, but i always enjoyed her questions.

one of her questions, just as an example:

could we all pray (or whatever) that God (or whoever) will make Yahoo! correct this obvious error??

I keep reading that it is truth, but I wanna see where it has been proven.

2006-06-22 14:05:46 · 36 answers · asked by bea1 3

I hear a lot that one man's truth is not necessarily another's.

Well I disagree that there is only one truth on any given subject or detail and that there is an infinite amount of non-truths

1+1=2
This is true and not open to debate or interpretation. (idiots pretending to be super geniuses, do not try to counter this point by theoretical, quantum calculations, as quantum mechanics, physics, and math cannot be proven, by definition)
Further IF(!) God is so great and powerful that he can create all of this out of nothing (assuming that this is true), Why would his ability to secure, preserve, and communicate his truth, through human agents be questionable?

Where in the Bible does it say that ALL you have to do is believe? Is the phrase "accept Jesus as your Lord & Savior" even in the Bible? Why do people hold so tightly to this teaching?

On the other hand...
Matthew 7:21-"Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven."
Acts 2:38-Repent and be baptized.
Acts 22:16-Be baptized and wash away your sins.
Mark 16:16-He who believes AND is baptized shall be saved.
Hebrews 5:9-Christ is the author of salvation to those that OBEY.
