1. Homosexuality is not natural. Real Americans always reject unnatural things like eyeglasses, polyester, and air conditioning.
2. Gay marriage will encourage people to be gay, in the same way that hanging around tall people will make you tall.
3. Legalizing gay marriage will open the door to all kinds of crazy
behavior. People may even wish to marry their pets because a dog has
legal standing and can sign a marriage contract.
4. Heterosexual marriage has been around a long time and hasn't changed at all; women
are still property, blacks still can't marry whites, and divorce is still illegal.
5. Straight marriage will be less meaningful if homosexual marriage were
allowed; the sanctity of Brittany Spears' 55-hour just-for-fun marriage would be destroyed.
6. Heterosexual marriages are valid because they produce children.
Homosexual couples, infertile couples, and old people shouldn't be
allowed to marry because our orphanages aren't full yet, and the world
needs more children.

7. Obviously gay parents will raise gay children, since straight parents only raise straight children.
8. Gay marriage is not supported by religion. In a theocracy like ours,
the values of one religion are imposed on the entire country. That's
why we have only one religion in America.
9. Children can never succeed without a male and a female role model at home. That's why we
as a society expressly forbid single parents to raise children.
10. Gay marriage will change the foundation of society; we could never
adapt to new social norms. Just like we haven't adapted to cars, the
service-sector economy, or longer life spans.

I actually have two opinions on this topic the first being if its natural or not. I am a medic with the 101st, i have been studying medicine for 6 years and am currently studing to be a biology teacher. That being said, i think homosexuality is not natural becaues changes in personality have two causes, a genetic mutation(nature)or from the enviroment (nuture). In nature when a muti-cellular organism has a genetic mutation that changes it personality, it is only passed on in one way and that is by passing genetic material to its offspring, since homosexual creatures are unable to have offspring its not possible. And even if it were a genetic mutation it would simply die out because it wouldn't pass on. And to those who think its random its not, NEVER EVER EVER has a random widespread genetic mutation ever happened in the history of all living organisms on our planet.
My second opinion on this topic is about gay marriage being legal. As a soldier who has fought twice in a war and seen first hand the price we pay for freedom. At no point should any american be allowed to say to another american, "i have more rights than you do because you made a choice" As long as that choice doesnt harm anyone or prohibit anyone from living their life (a crime). Marriage carries certain legal rights which all americans should be entitled to. You can call it whatever you want even if it isn't marriage but all people should be allowed to have those rights no matter who they marry, man or woman. And to those who claim that "allowing gay people to get married will cause people to marry dogs and cats" you are just making stuff up and you know it. Marriage is a consenting agreement between two humans. No creature other than a human has the ability to consent to a man-made thing like marriage so your point is completely invalid.

As far as I am concerned the US government has nothing to do with Marriage. The whole ordeal is just a formal legal binding anyway (much like a business corporation) and according to the legal books the word "Marriage" and "union" are pretty much interchangable.
This is why when you get married in a church, or wherever, nothing has officially happened until you sign the paper and send it to the government. You might have been joined in the eyes of your god, but the good old US of A doesn't care until they get the paperwork.
If we had any sense at all we would just drop this issue and move on to something more important.

1. "unnatural"?? : almost everything we have is manmade
2. homosexuality has been around much longer than we have existed
3. people are already crazy- mostly from religions and strict beliefs
4.women are not property! iterracial dating and marriage is more than acceptable
5. marriage= man and wife. however, gay couples should be allowed to have a union and get the same benefits as straights
6. orphanages are sad. children are thrown from home to home without a structure and a family. at least gay couples are willing to adopt some of these children.
7. children will develop their own sexuality. noone can "make" you gay
8. what is religion? and what good has it done???
9. i've succeeded wonderfully without a male and female in my home, and so have many other people i know.
10. people are going to be gay. there have allways been gay people. it's already been accepted- just not to ignorant people like you

Top 10 reasons why we should all just mind our own business and let people deal with god and life in their own way:
10. Intolerance is very close to the sin of Pride.
9. No body is perfect.
8. Life is hard enough in our own heads, let alone when total strangers interfere.
7. God will not punish you for what someone else did.
6. Hell is a metaphor for a destructive state of mind.
5. Most religions don't tell you to berate those that are different, but to pray for them.
4. There is no way to know the unknowable - none of us has a proveable answer on what God likes or dislikes.
3. There are so many more important things to do than to watch what our neighbors are doing and judging them. Aren't there poor and needy in the world that need the help of the faithful?
2. God (like most of us) hates to see his children argue
And the #1 reason why we should all just mind our own business and let people deal with god and life in their own way:
1. Because it wastes your time and annoys the hell out of the rest of us!
Peace!

I'm sorry but your made up stats don't fit reality. Children from homes with out a father and mother (not just homosexual but divorced as well are at a much greater disadvantage. Your reasoning against natural could be used to throw out laws against child molestation and a host of other good things and because some families are not responsible in their marriage you don't throw out the baby with the bath water so to speak. God instituted marriage as a man and a women and all the statistics bear this out as the best institution for the bedrock of society, the family.

you are an extremely ignorant person, Love is love no matter what form it is in. and how can you say "Homosexuality is not natural".. just because you say its not? people really are born gay.. whether you like it or not, it has nothing to do with upbringing.
Just accept people for who they are and not WHAT or WHY they are, like I said you are ignorant and closed minded.
do more children need to be brought into THIS world? do you see everything that is going on? the orphanages are not full but the kids that are in there need homes.
you need to take the blinders off and realize this world is not customized to what YOU want, this is everyone's world, you are just in it, you dont own it.
maybe you are so against homosexuals because you dont want to admit that you are homosexual, being a homphobe is the best way to cover it up right?

I think , and I am a chrisitan, that marriage should be this way however I think because we are primarily a sekie country now that Gays should be able to have a union or joining ceremony and call it a gay union or Gay joining or bonding. Marriage has stayed intact since it's inseption being between a man and a woman and has lasted through sodom and gammorah and the roman empire and repeated times where in world history gays have been part of society.

Leave the poor bastards alone - if they want to get married, they should be able to have a civil ceremony. The concept of marriage is so vastly different today than what it used to be.
You speak of the sanctity of marriage - quickie divorces, marrying for the worng reasons, marriages of convenience - these all make a mockery of marriage vows anyway, so what does it matter
(I'm straight by the way)
