Its like you are asking who came before "FIRST" in race.
I ask you , Who created "the one" who created God? and then so on ....There has to be some stop. Lets assume that this series is everlasting infinity. In this case, we wouldn't be here. But we are here, that means there is a stop with a being who is UNCREATED. It is difficult for us to imagine something with no end and no beginning. but it is impossible for us to imagine our Creator had a beginning.
Your question is like, my brother gave birth to a child, is it male or female? Its the Characteristic of male that he does not give birth. If he gives birth then he is not male. God is Eternal, because its characteristic of God that HE IS ETERNAL. If He is not eternal, that means He is not God.
God has to be Eternal then otherwise He would have a beginning. Suppose, we say God had a beginning, then there was a time when God did not exist. It means that he needed somebody else to make him exist. So there is somebody else who is God, not him. but as we agreed that there is only one God, therefore, there is no one else who make Him exist.
When we say that God cannot be born, we are also saying that a creator cannot becomes his creation, because creation means what is in need of a creator. To be a creature of God, mean there had to be someone to create you. So if God becomes his creation, it means now he is in need of a creator. And this is absudity! As we know, A creation is not eternal. An eternal being is uncreated. We can conclude that the one God who is uncreated, has to be Eternal.
It follows by logical necessity that if God is one, and if He is eternal, Then obviously He does not beget , Nor is he begotten. Because if He beget, then He will have a child and the child will have to be God-like. So there will then be two Gods. Since we agreed that there is only one God, you cannot have two. OR If he was begotten, that means he would have father. Then the father will be older than him and more eternal than him. and we cannot have one who is more eternal than "ETERNAL"
==============================...
"Say: He is Allah, The One and Only. "Allah, the Eternal, Absolute.
"He begets not, nor is He begotten. And there is none like unto Him."
[Quran 112:1-4]
==============================...
THERE IS ONE CREATOR, AND EVERYTHING ELSE IS HIS CREATION. THATS IT. !!!

God is the first intity to ever exist. How He came to exist is something we may get to know when we are able to utilize all of our brain power instead of the measly ten precent we curently use. Have you never wondered why we have such potential brain power while we only use ten percent if that? This seems like such an intelligent question, but it is just one which demonstates how little brain power we have. There are many things we simply have no ability to understand. Just as once the citizens of this world thought it flat and any who believed otherwise were crazed lunitics, and as it once would have been considered the heigth of lunacy to consider contraptions such as cars, let alone airplanes which could fly through the air, there are many things we can not know while on this plane of existance. I just fail to understand how some (I am not referring to you in particular) are so arrogant as to believe we are so sofisticated we know all there is to know and have made all the advances we can possibly make, or believe we can ever fully comphrehend the full wonders around us. I also do not understand how so many can be so arrogant to think we are the only sentient beings in this universe and all those out further than we have knowlege of now. I am fully humble and admitt my inability to understand many concepts those possessing greater intelligence than I understand. The one being with the greatest intellect is God. He has the capability of understanding those things the most intelligent person on this earth couldn't possibly understand or comprehend. Blessed be.

God tells Moses in Exodus "I am the one who is called I am" or something very similar. God defines Himself as 'I am'. It's a trippy concept, to try and understand the nature of God. If you're into it, you can check out this book I read by a Physicist named Hugh Ross. It's called 'The Creator and The Cosmos'. He argues that God exists in at least 11 different dimensions and in one of the chapters he talks about how if God's dimension of time is different than our own then he wouldn't ever need a beginning or end. Trippy stuff, but fascinating.

do you think if there was more than one God. then every god will fight the other one for power?
God is the most highness above what have been describe against him (as there are partners beside Him). God is the most higher one. and in the day of judgment you will regret ur question.

first of all, which god you talk about, haha, there are so many, each culture has it's own god and everyone believes that their god is the ONE, and to be honest, gods had down wonder to this world, and most of them are good, good for human being, good for society, personally, I think all gods are created by people, some very intelligent people long long time ago, to benefit their society, it is very powerful, more powerful than law.
