Why don't Christians obey them? They don't say till Jesus shows up nor do they say “till they are fulfilled”

It is pretty clear “for all generations"

I am getting married in October. My fiance is catholic and his family wants us to be married in the catholic church. I have been married before in the baptist church. Now here's where I have the question. My fiance and I are getting legally married before the actual ceremony, so will that make a differenct? What should I do?

Mormons claim to be Christians, but from my own research, I tend to disagree. I want to know more about how Mormonism departs from Biblical Christianity. Also, can someone explain some of the more "odd" and/or "secret" aspects and practices of the Mormon religion? Thank you.

Knowledge is power

In the dark ages the Church has all the education and therefor, the knowledge, and thus the power.

Now for a long time in history the secular world has the opportunity to get an education, thus they have knowledge, and are taking away power from the religious right.

my ex-boyfriend who is nonchristian...think's i cheat. If i put a bible verse from PETER in my profile, he'll say im cheating cause i put a guy in my profile. If i talk to a guy, he calls me a slut/cheater cause i talked to a guy. Im not a slut, im sexually pure. Im a virgin, waiting for marriage, havn't done anything sexual.

He blames everything on me...what do i say to him, when he calls me a slut/cheater. and says he can get better than me.

Christ has helped me through this, and i love him for everything hes done for me.

Especially all of you all!

Usually, the more secular a culture is, the more open-minded and tolerant it will be. Conversely, fundamentalism tends to cause cultures to have less equality & fewer freedoms (like the Islamic theocracies where women have no freedom, and people can be stoned to death for speaking their minds).
Will humanity ever evolve past a place where people need religion? Much like a child believes in Santa Claus, until they reach the age when they realize their parents left that bicycle under the tree, humanity seems to still be in its infancy -- when will we collectively reach the age where we realize that Santa doesn't exist, that we are responsible for our own actions and future?
Or is it possible that humanity will slide backwards, de-evolving & becoming more ingorant & violent until we have destroyed ourselves and our planet completely?

My boyfriend and I have decided to "wait until marrige". Neither of us are virgins, but I want to respect him and his spiritual needs. He has agreed to "everything, but penetration" which confuses me. I am also trying to grow in my Christianity. For a 30-something WOMAN this is really tough! Where can I find in the bible the definition of sexual impurity? Isn't mutual mastubation a sin as well? I'm trying so hard to understand why one is ok and not the other. Just can't quite bring myself to ask him...hmmm?!

Many Christians believe "The" Bible must be taken literally, word for word. How?

Where?
The Bible began as a compilation of old Jewish texts (the Old Testament) with a few Christ-ian writings (the New Testament). BTW - Muslims believe they have the "Newer" than "New Testament" words of God.

What?
There were literally hundreds of different versions, in different languages, of the Old Testament's Jewish texts floating around. The same for the texts gathered into the New Testament (and they were chosen from only the more "acceptable" ones around).

Basically Christians had all kinds of versions, in various languages, and argued over which were The "Truth".

Why?
So a bible was first compiled in 302 A.D. (382 years post Jesus) by Pope Damasus's secretary, Jerome, to make a CONSISTANT version for everyone because the arguements were hampering the Church with in-fighting. (Jerome was not a professional translator -btw).

The first print of a bible was 1516 A.D.... in Greek.
