They would be killed. All evidence of their work would be burned. Nobody would know. The Catholic church is that powerful, even after all these years.

Let's try to answer the question within its own context. Someone came up with the proof that there are no god. That someone *did not* get shot on the way, his or her work did not get destroyed, and the proof is such a proof that *it is a proof to everybody* of every religion on Earth. It's that kind of proof and everybody sees it: there is no god.
Now, the question is, what would happen?
Our understanding of the world would go through a general, a universal revision. Mankind and Womankind would all of a sudden have to take decisions for themselves, and they would recognize at last that the 'word of god' had been the 'word of Man' --and now, it would be our job to see what we keep, and what we trash. Our lifestyle might see a few changes. There would be people going around, playing pool, and saying things like: "The beauty of the human tragedy is that it has no witness but the characters involved." Others would go: "It was not God who created Man to His LIkeness but Man who created god according to his tastes. There is *no* personnal god sitting up there, but we can keep our gods anyway."
And we'd be looking at what these *gods* really meant to be, what they really meant to mean. Different aspects of Love and Death?

What would happen to society if someone came up with proof that there's no anything? That we're all just a dream and none of us exist or ever have? Unlikely as that seems it's even more unlikely that they'll come up with proof there's no God.

It will never happen. The proof for God is all around us. The Trees, The birds, Nature. The Sun Setting and Rising. That in itself is Proof that God exists. The fact that we are all here is proof that God exists.

Since when is there proof of god? Which god are we talking about? I think Zeus was proven not to exist a few years ago.
Maybe if people stopped believing in god he would go away, like Tinkerbell. And then people might start believing this earth is worth something and they would stop starting wars to prove that their god was the best god ever.

Then religions that do not involve a "god" would flourish.
But what ties all religions together is answering the question of what happens after death. Is there an "after-life" or is there not.
If a "god" based religion were found to be false, then all other "after-life" religions could be found to be false as well.
If EVERY religion were found to be false and everyone actually "believed" that, then that "belief" would become a "religion". You'd be contradicting yourself.
It's a better idea to toss the "what-if" ideas and believe in God.

If it could be proven empriically beyond a doubt that there were no God, society would disolve in to bedlam. There are so many people who rely on the theoretical existence of a God to provide meaning to their existence that I'm not sure society as we know it could continue. But I agree with a previous commentor that good number of people would still deny it.

A good many people who are sitting on the fence would behave more selfishly for lack of fear of a personal Judgment before a Creator. Society would probably breakdown absent draconioan measures by government.
Religion is a great tool for maintaining crowd control. As to Johnny Propoganda, I must have missed the news that night. WHo proved it and how?

It will never happen. Gog created man so that he has a need to worship God. The only problem is people are worshiping the wrong God. 2 Corinthians 4: 4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

If you think about the fact that most of humanity is not willing to accept (even when it is beyond any reasonable doubt) that they are, or could be wrong, I believe that it would just create more conflict, as it has for years. We are always going to have a debate about any facts, and someone willing to say that evidence has been falsified even if they know that it is not a rational probability, or even a possibility.
