In the Old Testament, the main day of worship was on the Sabbath, or the 7th day of the week. The Old Law was “nailed to the cross” and now no one can judge us as far as keeping the Sabbath. (Colossians 2:14-16)
In the New Testament, the early Christians met daily, but the main period of worship was upon the first day of the week. (Acts 20:7, 1 Corinthians 16:2)
The first day of the week (Sunday) is significant in several ways.
1.It is the day Christ established the Lord’s supper (Matthew 26:17 ff)
2.It is the day Christ rose from the dead. (Mark 16:1-2)
3.It is the day of the week the church was established. (Acts 2) (Pentecost was always on the first day of the week.)
4.It is the day the early church practiced the Lord’s supper (communion). (Acts 20:7)
5.It is the day of the week the early church gave their offering. (1 Corinthians 16:2)
6.It is called “the Lord’s day”. (Revelation 1:10)
The first day of the week is not the Sabbath. In the New Testament, the main period of worship was Sunday. This can be established both from scripture and from history. We currently live during the age when the New Testament is in effect (i.e. after the death and resurrection of Christ.). We should follow the New Testament pattern and instructions and, therefore, we should worship on the first day of the week (Sunday).

hey, good for you for asking. If by the Bible you mean the Christian Bible, OT and NT, then there's basically two ways to look at it: The 'sabbath' is the official day of worship in the OT because God made it that way. God created the earth in six days and rested on the seventh. The seventh day was Saturday, and so those who believe soley in the OT (Jews, for ex) worship on Saturday. Now fastforward to NT times: The long-awaited messiah is born, Jesus, and he's not exactly what they expected. The Jewish people were waiting more for an earthly-type king, a great leader who would free them from Roman rule. But the Messiah is a bit different from that. So Jesus comes, revolutionizing the way that people thought and acted, and shedding new light on OT passages (which he fulfilled, by the way). Jesus was crucified on Friday (good Fri) and rose to life again on Sunday. Thus, Christians worship on Sunday. I do not believe that you will go to hell if you worship on a different day than Sunday. The Sabbath simply sets apart a day for people to relax, recouperate, and worship God. Of course, you would worship every day, but the Sabbath is more of an 'official' day, where you can go to a Church or whatever. Thanx for asking. email me @ mck_meg@yahoo.com

Everyone thinks that the Sabbath is on Saturday, when really, it's Sunday. But you should worship all the time. Helping others, Singing for Him, are all kinds of Worship.

That question is the same as Is the apple the forbidden fruit? Nobody really knows. Hey, I have an idea! Why not worship on whatever day you feel like it? Religion is too strict with the petty stuff.... do you really think God cares if you worship him on Friday, Wednesday, or whatever? If he is the Supreme Being and the most intellegent, I would think he would not give two shits....

Saturday is the day of Sabath for the Old Testament. Sunday was a later change, so I would say to worship on Saturday.

The Creation Story is that on the seventh day God rested. The Jewish tradition makes that from sundown on Saturday to sundown on Sunday. That's the reasoning for some churches having Saturday evening services - it falls within the 24 hours.
It's kind of like the Easter Triduum - three days - goes from Holy Thursday to Easter Sunday (four days)because it actually goes from #1,Thursday pm to Friday, #2,Friday to Saturday, and day #3, Saturday to Sunday.

You should worship God everyday. That doesn't necessarily mean going to church everyday, but just worshiping him. Saying a prayer, reading the Bible, thanking Him for all he's done for you.

The day to worship the Lord is on a Sunday, but, we should always pray to the almighty God whenever we want, not only on a Sunday.
