Is it any different than Yahoo Answers using this category/platform to spread Yahoo?
As to your fear that this platform may be used to spread Christianity, I see no great threat on the immediate horizon; as there are so many versions of Christianity being offered on Answers at any one time, that most become so confused as to which Christ is real and which is false as to render them more befuddled than before they asked their question. Not to mention that there seems to be a healthy balance of atheists, deists, agnostics, Muslims, Mormons, Wicca's, and almost every sect, cult, and religion represented on Answers and usually supporting their position with greater intellect, honesty, and wit than those of the Christian camp. Zeal, firmness of conviction and cut and pasting Bible Versus do not win converts. While Yahoo answers may give us an interesting sociological microcosmic view of the religious scene around the world, don’t fear a coup d’ etat from this rag tag army, but do know the real battle rages on a different front, where the Forces are Darkness are mustering and awaiting the final onslaught of the Human Race and the stakes are higher than meaningless Yahoo points. It is then and there where Christians will be put to the true test, to see if their Answers are approved of God or were, after all, merely the arbitrary choice of carnal man.

No. You cannot help an orphan or homeless person that has an empty stomach. The hunger will be dominant till dealt with, and besides this we know that feeding the hungry is always a good thing, because even though many that followed Jesus didn't believe He was the promised Messiah, yet He fed them all anyway before speaking. At every opportunity, we are as much as is possible to live peaceably among all men, doing good to all, especially to those of the household of faith.

It seems to me all sorts of arogant jerks use it for a platform for many things, politics, religion, and I see kids even use it to get homework answers rather than doing the research themselves.
Apparently Yahoo needs to do some tweaking of this feature and prohibit a few things. I for one am not going to answer anymore questions that say Homework Help. As for the religous ones...i refuse to answer any of those either.

What hasn't in some way been used? Movies? Oh yeah. Books/any printed source? Deffinately. Public speaking? Big time. Video games? Heck, I bet there's going to be a "The passion of the Christ" video game soon. Christians want to take over the world by any means necessary, you just have to calmly reply with some logic and try to save the world's individuality for one more day.

By your definition, then, it has also become a platform for non-Christians, especially atheists, to spread their religions or belief systems.

I agree with you, I've seen many for Islam and Christianity and people are trying to compete by saying theirs is better etc... its a shame that even online people still have to bring these issues into things... I wonder if people will ever get along! :(

Hah, right! I've noticed that too. Just throw in the word 'christian' to your question and all of sudden people hop on their soap boxes and start preaching..even if the preaching has absolutely nothing to do with the question posed.

If they post religious questions in the wrong categories, tell them so. You'll get two points for answering their question.

I agree and report those who simply preach and don't actually ask questions. I am bored of them sticking their filth down my throat.
