Islam is brought up, the immidiate picture the westerners have is about middle east? Why is it associated with only arabs? what about the Chinese, Malaysian, American, British, Polish, Russian, German, Indonesian, Philipinos, Indian, and most of the african countries? Are they also "terrorists" and violent and slave their wives? Why don't you go ahead and ask your muslim fellow countryman how Islam has changed his way of life?

In a free society we should not silence the bigot, but we should certainly shun the bigot.

i am a christian teen. yesterday two of my hindu frnds turned up. one of them asked the other 'what's da vinci code all abt?'. She replied, 'bombardment on christendom!'. i objected saying tht i'd read the buk and didn't find it blasphemous n it was gud that it threw lite on the human nature of christ. however, the one who's read it is clueless. she is an avid buk reader n read it only bcoz of the bestseller tag. she hasn't understood it. i told her that before reading it u shud kno the bible. actually she doesn't even kno who is jesus n mary magdalene. after reading this buk she's having all wrong notions abt christ, that he was only a man. she doesn't kno tht he was THE SON OF GOD who came to earth as MAN.
my hindu frnd just regard mary magdalene as a prostitute. she doesn't kno tat she had a conversion when she came under the influence of jesus.
what shud be told to such ppl of diff religions?
da vinci code thru no light at the REAL WORK done by the church today, the charity, etc

Is the "sin" of homosexuality not available to me?

[Note: I am heterosexual. I am asking this question to try to clarify for me why Christians keep saying that homosexuality is a choice and therefore a "sin." I do not think it is a sin, unless someone can convince me otherwise.]

I'm not gay but some people say homosexuality is a choice. If it is a choice can u explain why there are homosexual animals and what the animal might have been thinking before they decided to become gay? If u are born gay why is it wrong to be with someone of the same sex?

I have a deck of tarot cards that I cannot use, I bought them at a time of great upheavel and unhappiness in my life and every time I have tried to use them for readings I have had very negative results, either incorrect readings or it feels like they are "blocked" and I cannot read anything. I would like to dispose of them but don't want to just throw them out, is there any way I can dispose of them respectfully?

I am not Catholic, but highly respect them, and am wondering what all non Catholic Christians out there believe concerning these apparitions and visions of Mary. I am talking about the "main" confirmed ones like at Fatima. They are either 1.)valid from heaven or 2.)from Satan in order to decieve people. If you answer that they are from heaven, then why aren't we all venerating Mary the way Catholics do, but if they are from Satan, then why do we tolerate this? Catholics can express their opinion on this also if they answer with an open mind and not hastily write "the official line" of the Catholic church.

to support the non religious people who aren't comfortable with talking to the religious chaplains. Sometimes it's hard to talk to them because I have my beliefs, but I don't want to somehow offend them when I talk about them since they are religious. I have issues with religion influincing the rules and supporting predjudices that lie within the military, but I'm not trying to be disrespectfull when I talk about my views. They aren't there to cause other's grief, but they do sometimes. It's hard talking to someone who tells you you are wrong because god says so when You don't believe in the god that they are talking about.
