The purpose of the Bible is;

Jhn 20:31 But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.

As for the eucharist, it's a heresy.

The Bible is our Spiritual road map on this side of time. It plays an important role so we can make sure what is being quoted as scripture is true. I do not know about the Eucharist but you will not find such to be true doctrinal teaching.

Make sure you pay 10% of your income to God, that probably you are told. Have you seen a pastor or priest giving money to God.
And the Second and more important to dominate you.
You are only saved if you go through their shop (church).
One question when you were born, your mom used a doctor or a priest? When you are gone you will use a doctor or a priest.
A good evaluation they are as useful as a bell on a grave.

The bible is the work of God, with out it Church (like $cientology) would be taught by the word of man.

WE ARE NOT OUR OUR GODS

"new Bible's" coming our are translations of the original text. Just lie any language meaning, phrases change as our world changes, we understand things a whole lot differently than Shakespearean times.

The bible is the Word of God. We are supposed to read it to make sure that what the people are teaching you is biblical. If you read the bible and what the priests are teaching something other than what is in the bible than you have to question if that person is fit to teach the people.
I encourage you to read the bible to become educated in it so you can know if you are being fed real food and not ding dongs.

The bible is a book filled with sheets of paper with ink.

When you read the bible with an open and seeking heart, you are listening to God speaking to you.

If you don't get anything from what you read in the bible, then you are not listening with an open and seeking heart.
