well i dont think muslims want to be better than christians or vice versa. i think they are just defending their beliefs. personally i think that all religion are the same. people have beliefs but now one can prove anything. god did not come down to earth and say wat is right or wrong, basically it is just people's opinion claiming to be from god or angels from above. until we see god people cannot prove anything in religion. AND THIS IS 100 % TRUE

I'm sorry I don't agree with your statement / question. It cannot be generalized. Only religious fanatics (whether Muslims or Christians or Jews as well) think they are better than all the rest.

In Islam, we are taught to respect and believe other prophets and religions contrary to the many comments / accusations that I have been reading on "Yahoo answers".

Please refer to:

- Surat "El Bakara" which states that Muslims have to and do believe in all prophets and religions.

- Surat "Al Nagm" which teaches Muslims not to think they are better than others - whether, Muslims amongsts other Muslims or other religions for only Allah knows who is good and who is not. i.e. it is a message not to judge and condem others.

I can site so many other verses in the Qura'n, but I will just limit the answer to these 2.

I really do wish that people can be more aware of the essence of other religions before spreading accusations or incorrect information across to others. I am not directing this comment to you specifically, it's just a message to others that have been spreading inaccurate and unauthenticated information on Islam / Muslims on Yahoo answers and it hurts me to see this amount of misinformation spread, because it only creates hatred and prejudice.

I thank you for the question because it gave the opportunity to reply and I hope send out a message across to others.

They both think they are correct in their teachings. They are not saying they are "better" just more enlightened.
It would take a miracle to bring them together as one. But the God of Abraham, Issac and Jacob would do it.

we dont think we are better than christians and we do believe in christianity but christians who dontbelieve in islam ... we r just defending our beliefs ....its our right

if christians doesnt respect our beliefs then islam taught us to respect others beliefs
