I am not Catholic, but highly respect them, and am wondering what all non Catholic Christians out there believe concerning these apparitions and visions of Mary. I am talking about the "main" confirmed ones like at Fatima.They are either 1.)valid from heaven or 2.)from Satan in order to decieve people. If you answer that they are from heaven, then why aren't we all venerating Mary the way Catholics do, but if they are from Satan, then why do we tolerate this? Catholics can express their opinion on this also if they answer with an open mind and not hastily write "the official line" of the Catholic church.

I don't think they're either. I think it's just a bunch of stuff that happened.

The only way we can answer this is to check the bible and see what it says about these visions.
From Leviticus 20:6 and 1 Samuel 28, we see that God is against anyone consulting spirits.
1Corinthians 5:3 says that when we are absent in the body, we are immediately present with the Lord.
Luke 16:20 has a story of Lazarus and the rich man and when they died they immediately went to paradise and hell immediately. When the rich man asked to come back to earth, it was denied.
Therefore, with these 3 passages and more, we see that whatever spirit apparitions that happens, is not really the spirit of the dead person and therefore, must be from the fallen angels that was cast to earth.
I believe these apparitions are real and people actually see them but based on the bible which I believe to be true, these apparitions must be satanic in nature.

You wanted the open minded answer so this is what you get. I hardly believe that you will be able to stand it.
Normally SATAN is not perceived in the correct light. SATAN means NOT TRUE. He has been put to the throne of creation, time and space and duality by the True Lord for the reasons He knows only.
SATAN is actually in the service of the true GOD as nothing can be higher than He is and nothing can be out of Him.
So called Satan is the other name of universal MIND. He is running creation for the Lord. Please understand that haven is just one of the maisonettes of the MIND,. Haven does not means true salvation. It means just a longer o shorter living in better conditions but still be in the cage.
Believe it or not angels and daemons are alike in the domain of SATAN or lord of time and space, duality. They are just opposites.
Why we should tolerate this? Because this creation have been made with the purpose. You have to choose where you will stand. Will you follow the white, the black or the light.
Please think deeply of this. Can you experience good if you are not able to experience bad. Can you experience big if you can not experience small?

Ah, backhanded way of running down the catholic church. I'll bet you are of the "born again" persuasion. If the siting have been proven, then they are real. since most actually happen to children, I'd say they were from God. You might want to do a littl research on these sitings. The fatima ones actually warned of the war that was coming.

I am a Prodestant with high respect for catholics. However, I do not believe that any of the visions of Mary are real. Mary was a blessed woman but she is no more than that: a person.

I don't think the people that said they saw Mary would have lied about it, if they were very devout they would know what would happen to them if they lied. I think if Mary wants to appear, she will apppear- not sure if God or Satan, from what i studied satan can appear in many different forms.

Catholics venerate her cuz shes the mother of jesus but if you look a t history she never did anything just give birth to jesus. Thats why not many follow or venerate her.

Have you ever looked at clouds and how they change. You tell your friend that you see a duck but he tells you that he sees a dragon....
If you realy believe that you see something or if you realy want to see something then you most likely will.
The human mind is very powerful and can decieve itself.
As for visions, I don't think so....

god is from outer space much more advanced then we r satan is a bad boy who got left behind in space he managed to get to earth by him self and started creating problems for god eg telling people to do the opposite to what god told them god was a magican so was satan eg creating illusions

I like your question. It's well thought out and written. So an honest answer from me. I honestly don't believe in in even the "confirmed" sitings, if you will. I don't believe that they were miraculous in any way.
