Genesis 1:29-30
Then God said, "I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food. And to all the beasts of the earth and all the birds of the air and all the creatures that move on the ground—everything that has the breath of life in it—I give every green plant for food.” And it was so.

Perhaps many of you have read or heard this before - if not please read this very short story, it is only a couple of paragraphs. It is deeply moving and puts the concept of true sacrifice into perspective.

I think about what sacrifices I am willing to make for God, and what ones He wants me to make.

What does it mean to you?

I am a Christian, but have lightened up over time. I dont attend church, I think its full of hypocrites. I think homosexuality is a sin, but dont care who does it, have gay friends, and support gay marriage. I think everyone is entitled to make up their own minds, religious or not.

So what gives? I am so sick of being lumped in with fire and brimstone, hypocritical, bible thumping, shove it down your throat Chrisitians. "All Christians are rude", "All Christians are liars". Its like saying ALL homosexuals are pedophiles, even though only a small percentage is, or ALL killing is murder, when legally not all of it is (abortions). What is with these broad generalizations? Dont non-believers know how to spell SOME, and stop lumping us all into the far right movement?

Do you know who is behind our government? It is the illuminati. They are not christian.Their goal is to set up a New world order with one religion and its not christianity. They want to abolish our rights as christians.Look up the illuminati and then look at our one dollar bill.It is the all seeing eye with an unfinished pyramid. The numerals at the bottom of the pyramid add up to 666.You may call me crazy but I think I am not.

most of the life you've got?

The Irony is that if there is a God (unlikely) he would want you to use your brain, and make the most of the time you've got, rether then hoping it will be better later on.

Jer. 18: 12
And they said, There is no hope: but we will walk after our own devices, and we will every one do the imagination of his evil heart.

I used to feel an emptiness within me that would never leave. A knotted feeling within me when I awoke in the morning. I felt lost and alone, but I had everything that I wanted, I should have been content. I would try to chase away or fill that emptiness with drugs and sex and parties and people and lots of music and shows and material things. I could dull it, but by morning, it was there again. Hitting rock bottom can really change your outlook on life. It was like God put a hole in my heart that only He could fill, you know. I never thought to turn to God to relieve my pains and sorrows, ends up He turned me to Him. God saves. Christ heals.

2 Thes. 2: 16
Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God, even our Father, which hath loved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace,

My Husband tithes first, which is something that infuriates me. God loves a cheerful giver, and I wonder how on earth can he be cheerful giving upwards of 300.00 a month knowing his wife is worried about bills esp the rent being paid and the kids being fed. We have five kids and twins on the way. Oh and please, I know all about faith, it's wonderful, but God wants us to be wise. It's foolish to think that "well, I have enough faith that if I quit my job today, God will still make sure that my rent in this extravagant apartment witll still get paid", that is just plain foolish to me. I had to cover the rent this month because tithing came first. What is going to happen when I stop working? Please, someone, anyone, give me advice, preferbly biblical verses about whether you should always tithe first before paying your rent, or feeding your kids? Everything I've researched about tithing shows that it was done as a form of punishment for the Pharisees, not a commandment for Christians?

If I follow a different path, while you might allow me the right to follow it, do you think that I will not go to God because I am not on your path?

In other words, while you and I might go to a different place of worship and listen to words from different religious texts, do the people in my house of worship have the ability to go to heaven, even thou we don't share the same faith/worship/path?

What is it specifically about your path that is different? Is it the book you use, or the version of that book, or the interpretation of that book?

Most Christian cults claim Jesus was physically resurrected and ascended to heaven.

Matter (human bodies) cannot travel faster than the speed of light. Our visible universe extends for billions of light years.

How could Jesus have ascended into heaven in the flesh unless heaven exists in our visible universe? And, why hasn't it been discovered by astronomers given its relatively close proximity?

They say that when we're born we were spirits waiting in the physical form, I agree with this very strongly. Also it's been said we had previous lives before our actual present life we just don't remember, we don't have the conscious state to obtain the memory of this. Now I have another question within this one. Is the life I'm living now will it be remembered as I go on to my next life, after all if I can't remember my previous life? Will I be able to identify with myself, my soul, and spirit. Know your true self stripped from all things material from the physical form. Any good books on this type of information as well? I want to know as much feed back from you guys and gals as possible. This is a very interesting and intriguing topic that's such a mystery.
