OK, here is a seasonnality-driven question. In almost every product barcode (in fact, in all the UPC barcodes), the twin black bars used to code the digit "6" are also used at the beginning, the middle and the end of the bar code to give to the scanner those 3 reference points.
Which means that every product sold purposefully contains three sixes.

Revelation 13:16-18:
"And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: and that no man might *buy or sell*, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six."

I think this is all a rather good joke from the geek in charge of designing the UPC code, but do you have a better answer?

I personally think it is true. It all boils down to your own well being. Your beliefs are for YOUR OWN good. Why do you think it isn't?

What possible difference does it have on you, the straight white Christian male age 29 who is married and has a kid, if your gay neighboor adam and steve go to the court house to get a piece of paper,

if that piece of paper says adam and steve are MARRIED
or adam and steve are CIVIL UNIONized

THEY ARE STILL HAVING GAY SEX NEXT DOOR TO YOU

they probably know you wont be happy for them one way or the other so what difference does it make

I think some of us in America need to admit that while we ourselves our not homophobic or hate gays, some of us do, and thats a sad state of america in my humble opinion

I personally think he wants all you anti-gay crusaders to shut up and worry about what really matters! like Iraq! or Iran! or the economy! or the human condition (which gays ARE a part of).

God loves love. And gays sure seem to love life more than anti-gays do.

I asked a question just a little while ago, and laid out some of my views, for wich people decided to tell me I wasnt a Chrisitan. My friend, who is far right, will often say the same thing when we talk. And whether it is her, or people from her church she sends to my house because she thinks Im backsliding, they always finish with "I'll pray for you." Like I cant or wont do it myself. Does this bug anyone else, christian or not, that an assumption arises where they think you need prayer, when you neither need it nor want it?

One of the first aliens in the Service-to-Self orientation to contact the United States government was a member of the alien race from Orion, who called himself the Omnipotent Krlll
These Service-to-Self aliens had landed just prior to the Roswell crash and were impressing the military by their flashy ship manoeuvres and the like and promises of alien technology. No alien technology was ever given to the US military as this is against the rules, but before they found that out they were in love with the Service-to-Self aliens and their promises of power. Many people in the military are power hungry. For those that rise to the top, the generals, the idea of being able to bark orders and terrify people with space ship exploits meant domination of the world. What could be better?

My friend called me and asked if i would go with him to a mans home and pray. This man was dying of cancer. He was on an oxygen tank, very thin and gasping for breath but fully conscious. I asked him if he would like to pray and accept the Lord Jesus into his heart and he very willingly said yes. He prayed and as he invited the Lord into his heart, the Presence of Jesus appeared on him from head to toe in a visible golden cloud and a great peace filled the room. It looked like a thick golden mist. He is our Lord and He didnt just write the Bible and leave town. He is real and shows Himself to those who seek Him passionatly. Sooo,,,you do that.,,,and why do I post these things ? To give glory to Jesus and hope to those in similar problems. Shira 19 f usa

A Muslim's Search for God
His parents' dreams of seeing him become a future Islamic leader seemed to be coming true until a miracle took place and their world came crashing down.
by Abraham Sarker

Until God opened my eyes to see the truth, I was one of the 1.2 billion Muslims blinded by Islam. I was born in a devout Sunni Muslim home in the green, fertile nation of Bangladesh. My father, an Islamic leader with a prominent Islamic political party, and my mother, an Islamic school teacher, together reared me to be a model Muslim boy and future Islamic leader. Their dreams for me seemed to be coming true until a miracle took place, and their world came crashing down.

If the stories portrayed in the Bible truly happened, why only then, so there's no one around now to visually testify? Why aren't vegetables randomly sprouting around the starving in africa? Why doesn't the Pope find Osama Bin Laden instead of taking money and touring around like a rock star? The only "miracles" we have revolve around science, with the occasional sighting of satan in a stained glass church window. I don't know if that would be classified as a miracle or an abomination, but nevertheless, when a child with leukemia is suddenly cured, "Oh its a miracle!". No one suggests that hey, maybe the child's body is responsible for fighting it, or here's a theory; medicine actually works! Doctors really know what they're doing and didn't go to med school so "God" could heal....Doctors heal. I get so tired of people giving credit to their "God" rather than the doctor who has been fighting and searching for the answer, and because of their perserverance, find it! Religion is selfish!

Im not religious btw i don't beleive in god i just don't feel a need to attack people who are and don't think i should be because i don't believe what someone else does

The meek are to inheret the earth, as God's gift to them ... which is now poluted and many species of plants and aninals are extinct or getting close to extinction. Humanity's race for technology and simplicity has made the earth somewhat of a less than perfect gift, in my opinion.
