I recently have decided that I do not believe in the religion I have been brought up in. For a while it was difficult to accept, but now I feel very happy and liberated. I live life to my own standards rather than out of fear of a big CCTV in the sky watching me and my every thought. However, my mum still thinks I believe and she keeps lecturing me about the bible and stuff, and I don't want to tell her I don't because it would destroy her. Has anyone had a similar experience to this and how did you deal with it?

P.S. For you people who are religious I mean no disrespect. I am happy with what I do and don't believe in so please don't try to convert me! I would like to think that I am a nice, kind and forgiving person, despite not following an organised religion.

I know that the most important thing in spell work is intention and focus, but I prefer my spellwork to be more involved... candles, herbs, writing, incense, chanting, etc...... elaborate......
This however is expensive in my experience.
My budget is nil as of now.... Any advice? What do you do??

One day as i was in prayer the voice of Jesus spoke to me and told me to go visit someone in the ICU in hospital. I went down there and a man was dying of lung cancer. We began to pray and suddenly the face of Jesus appeared 2 me and also the man we prayed for. His face was shining as white as a welders arc light. He had death on His face but He was alive again. His scars were still there but they were healed and shining. He had a wedding canopy over his head. He walked over and hugged the man we were praying for for five minutes.

Am I able to do this, think for myself about what the word of God means?

Do I require an academic with a degree in theology or divinity to explain it for me? When I read the Quran do I require an arabic reading Iman to tell me what it means in English? Does it require that I say I accept Jesus as my savior and allow the holy spirit to enter my heart before I will understand the Bible? Does God not trust that I could understand what his word is without some intervention from man or God himself or herself or itself?

Faith Freedom stands for freedom of faith. We are against Hate, not Faith. We revere human rights not human beliefs. We endeavor to be factually correct, not politically correct.

Do you lie, and say, "He's in a better place now. He's with God in heaven" ?
Which raises a question about sin. If suicide is a sin, can one go to jheaven if he commits suicide? And if not, why do preachers/ministers tell the family the suicide victim is in Heaven?

Many people say this and that about Jehovah's Witnesses but many people never examine their own religion to see if it itself stands by biblical teachings. Everything that Jehovah's Witnesses
teach, believe and stand for can be found in the KJV,NIV,NWT and others. Did you know that christians shouldn't kill? But that is what many in christendom have done and many are still doing in time of war. They weren't/aren't fighting wars for God they are fighting for their own sovereignty and only Jehovah has a right to rule. Which He is doing through his son Jesus Christ our ransomer. With that said can you say that your faith (religion) is truly christian? If so how and why can you say it scripturally. I'm not trying to offend anyone but if I am or have I apologize.

If God doesn't support mans wars then you shouldn't either. You either stand by the bible (God's word) or you dont. If you believe what Jesus said about being "no part of the world" then you and your following should apply it.

When I was a few minutes away from being raped I was so mesmerized by the power my rapist had over me. My parents respected him and had told me to obey all adult authority over me implicitly. My own heart had rested all my safety in his care because after all, " all adults know better " according to my parents . I felt speechless as he was raping me because of the guilt of rebelling against an authority figure. At first when he began I struggled " respectfully " doing my best not to offend this " trusted authority figure " since I had to reverence and " respect him as an adult ". Then when I saw I had no escape and was to exhausted to resist any longer I thought " things will somehow be ok since i am obeying my elder ". How can obedience to " authority " heal a raped mind and body ? Why didnt I have the strength to scream and rebel against this rule of respect for authority ? How does a rule have such power that it empowers a rapist to hurt a little girl ? plz pray for me

Alternatively, how about chewing coca leaves like the Andeans?

Genesis 1:29-30
Then God said, "I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food. And to all the beasts of the earth and all the birds of the air and all the creatures that move on the ground—everything that has the breath of life in it—I give every green plant for food.” And it was so.

Fundamentalist Christians say evolution, abortion, homosexuality, and a plethora of other things are immoral based on their fundamental reading of the Bible. Where is the fundamental reading here? Does this passage tell us that creating and eating fruits without seeds is an abomination?

Why is it that you always read about or hear people talking about how Christians try to push their religion on others....and it always is coming from someone who doesnt believe in God. Why do the atheists try to make everyone believe that there is nothing to believe in? That there is no God....They're pushing their NON-BELIEFS down our throats....What makes THEM different from US(as they refer the differences between people)?
