I recently saw a bumper sticker that said "What part of 'thou shalt not kill' do you not understand?"

I am not christian, but I do think this is very appropriate. George Bush claims to be a moral christian leader and yet he has killed many inmates as Governor of Texas and many, many more as President of the US. I don't think either of these things is right, but somehow the inmates feel more like murder, while the war casualties - I am not so certain. Certainly the innocent that were slain as casualties of war were an accident, which makes their deaths all the more tragic. But when a bus has an accident and people are killed, I don't think they arrest the driver for murder - right?

Of course, the Pope did call Bush about both issues to ask him to stop what he was doing - and our moral leader ignored him. Maybe Mrs. Bush can tell us - wasn't she convicted of Manslaughter for running down her boyfriend in her car?

It is about intentions. If you set out to take a life that is murder. Whether you think the person is innocent or guilty. In the case of an accident the intent wasn't there. It is an event brought about by certain circumstances.

killing the killers, protecting your own, protectingthe life of another, are all justifiable morders or homicides.
Premeditated murder, abvuse and death of children or elders, or anybody for that matter, is not justifiable.
Ridding society in order to maintain the safety of the majority(innocents) is not only ok in my book, but the way nature dictates things should be. if you don't want anybody to die by these means, then I suggest you get your butt out there and stop them from killing in the first place.

How do you "accidentally" kill 200 people? And we do not just go around killing guilty people. People are subject to the death penalty only when they commit seriously hanus crimes against other people. In my opinion, child molesters and pedifiles should also fall into that group.
