All these marriage questions being posted made me wonder where the concept started and exactly when? Was it started in religion or because of something else?

Then what's the point of Judgement Day??

If God has a plan for you, is it just something He "hopes" you stick with? I mean, if He really has a plan for everyone, then He chose Ted Bundy's career of murdering young women, or did God lose control of Ted? If God doesn't make mistakes, then why do we have criminals? If God lets man make his own decisions, then how could he have a "plan" for you?

The Qur'an has some very strong language with respect to alcohol:

"O ye who believe! Intoxicants and gambling, (dedication of) stones, and (divination by) arrows, are an abomination,- of Satan's handwork: eschew such (abomination), that ye may prosper." (Surah 5:90, Yusuf Ali)

Yet, we see that the Qur'an then teaches that "Satan's handiwork" will appear in the Paradise which Allah is said to prepare for faithful Muslims,

"(Here is) a Parable of the Garden which the righteous are promised: in it are rivers of water incorruptible; rivers of milk of which the taste never changes; rivers of wine, a joy to those who drink; and rivers of honey pure and clear. In it there are for them all kinds of fruits; and Grace from their Lord. (Can those in such Bliss) be compared to such as shall dwell for ever in the Fire, and be given, to drink, boiling water, so that it cuts up their bowels (to pieces)?" (Surah 47:15, Yusuf Ali)

If there is any truth at all in religious claims about God and Biblical truth then we should be free to mock and question all of it as much and as often as we can, God is not mocked by a mere mortal and who knows ...through all the questioning and mockery some real solid undeniable truth may emerge, it ought to anyway clear away some of the fug and untruths and that can't be a bad thing can it?

Would you people STILL lie to yourselves and speak for someone you call GOD like you have the answers? If your only proof to God's existence is the bible, (which was written by men just like you) what makes other holy books wrong and yours right?

Okay, my LAST one.

I have been divorced, and I am currently living with my fiance. I know these are biblically wrong things, that they are sins, that I am a sinner for doing them. I am quite aware of it. But does that make a statement that I am not a Christian because I sin?

Do we not all sin, just some more openly than others. Because I recognize my sin, and practice it freely, and yet others practice in secret, are the more Christian than I am, because the sin and lie about it? I choose to admit it, confess it, and know God will deal with me.

For anyone that has read each of these posts, you know a little bit more about me than others. I belive in salvation by grace, yet I am not perfect, nor claim to be. I know what sin is, and I know there will be judgment. But living in the society we do, are my beliefs so un-christian like that anyone can question my faith. Judge not??

I need help when I go before judge and explain how we are ancestors, just reuniting in a hug. I need help to prove that the Judge himself and I were monkeys. I feel like I'm being took for $$$$. am I being "Framed".?

Can you help me?

I dont attend Church. All the churches I have attended are full of hypocrites, and pastors that choose to preach about what you should not do, and make examples out of people who openly sin, and ignore their own sins, prefering to preach their own perfection.

God ordained church for growth and fellowship, yet it is impossible to find those things in modern church. Instead, I fellowship and grow through Bible study, friends with like views, discussion, and prayer. Does this mean my faith is in question because church offers so little to a Christian nowadays, that I have looked elsewhere for God original intention of church?

I WOULD attend if I found a church that welcomed all people, and taught the Bible and ALL its teachings, and not just what suited the purpose for church growth.

Isn't is good to be critical?
Critical thinking is not taught in our schools or used enough in everyday situations, we should all be prepared to question everything and anything...especially those things that try to set themselves above criticism...and especially when people tell you not to question something or that it is bad to question something...what do you think?

Okay, Ive thrown out a few views on here, and keep finding people questioning my beliefs. So from Christians, and non-christians if you like, I want to know how un-christian like my views are. I consider myself to be ever learning, and maybe I am wrong. Please note, I am NOT looking for guidance, or whether or not I am a christian, I KNOW i am saved by grace, no questions there, so I dont need that.

Homosexuals. I believe it is a sin, and an abominations. I dont think it is right. But, common sense tells me it will be practiced, and Jesus says love the sinner, hate the sin. SO, is the fact I accept homosexuals, believe they should have equal rights, and even befriend them, un-christian like behavior? Does that call my faith into question, as I am tolerant. Christ taught love of the sinner himself, right?
