Jer. 18: 12
And they said, There is no hope: but we will walk after our own devices, and we will every one do the imagination of his evil heart.

I used to feel an emptiness within me that would never leave. A knotted feeling within me when I awoke in the morning. I felt lost and alone, but I had everything that I wanted, I should have been content. I would try to chase away or fill that emptiness with drugs and sex and parties and people and lots of music and shows and material things. I could dull it, but by morning, it was there again. Hitting rock bottom can really change your outlook on life. It was like God put a hole in my heart that only He could fill, you know. I never thought to turn to God to relieve my pains and sorrows, ends up He turned me to Him. God saves. Christ heals.

Well said. Alas some people go their whole lives trying to fill the emptiness with the things of this world. I pray they will realize before it is too late.

Of course. God and Jesus offers us love, hope, peace, forgivness and a promise of something greater than what we are with eternal life.

Your story is not uncommon. So many people are searching, God is calling to them, and yet they fill the void with the wrong things. Only God can offer what youve found. MANY people here will tell you its not true, or that they are at peace without God, and that may be true for them, but your story is true for you and countless others. Dont let naysayers take it away from you.
