I know that the Holy Bible is the infallible Word of God.The reason
I know is because I know its author and He abides in me! 1Pe 3:15 But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:

2Pe 1:16 For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty.
2Pe 1:17 For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
2Pe 1:18 And this voice which came from heaven we heard, when we were with him in the holy mount.
2Pe 1:19 We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:
2Pe 1:20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
2Pe 1:21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.
My prayer is that someone will receive Jesus as Lord and Savior then they to can know the Bible is Gods Word.
In Christ in Love,

Scripture says that the word is the inspired Word of God, therefore it is what God says it is. My problem is when people accept only somethings of the bible and reject other things. You either accept it or reject the whole Bible. The book of Revelation says do not add or take away from anything in this Book, or things will be added and taken away from you. God's word is life and when it says something about whatever, that's what He means. Usually people mostly likely reject something because they are being convicted! Everytime you open the Bible it's minsters to you. Thats why Josh 1:8 says mediatate on it day and night because when you stay in the word, you stay corrected.
(Sorry, I'm a Pastor, I have a tendacy to go on and on), but YesI believe in the Word (Everything!)
All believers should believe in it wholeheartedly, but most of them take and add to what they feel is right or wrong.

It all depends on what version you are reading, if you email me and really want to know some thoughts depending on the translation you care to go over, I can tell you where I think those are man's words. But I do agree it is INSPIRED by God, but not written by God. That was man and translating and passing down the stories until they were written, all man. I do not believe in the bible more than God, that is idolatry. But it was definitely a good way to share God with the people. But only a stepping stone, the real relationship and God's love and teachings I think dwell in the individual as they go along their spiritual journeys.

Never forget that those words were transcribed by man.

Man often has his own motives.

For example: I do not think that if a man rapes a woman that he should give the father some gold and then marry the woman.

Yes, that's in the Bible.

I also believe that many of the stories are fables intended to make a point.

I do however believe the words of Jesus.

Even if I'm wrong I can't think of a better role model.

Later.

I believe too that every word of the bible is inspired by God. The bible clearly states in 2 Timothy 3:16,17 - All Scripture is inspired of God and beneficial for teaching, for reproving, for setting things straight, for disciplining in righteousness, that the man of God may be fully competent, completely equipped for every good work.

If one were to believe in the bible, it is only appropriate to believe this verse too which clearly credits God as the one who inspired the scriptures. However for people who refuse to believe a word, so be it.

I think the bible is an excellent history book, but written by man. I do not believe God wrote it or or even dictated it.

I have always beleived god as more of a metaphysical being. I do not beleive that Jesus or Allah is anymore the son of god than any other man. (that is not to say I don't beleive they were great leaders, I do beleive that)

I do not believe that God would write anything stating that he hated homosexuals (or anyone else for that matter) I think rhetoric that is purely the hate of man.

I believe the Bible is a book nothing more, it has many stories and lessons that still have great value today but it is still just a book. I don't think humans are capable of forming a true relationship with God based solely on a book.

Yes. The KJ Bible is true, from the beginning to the end. There are no lost books in the Bible. Jesus is the Living word, and the Bible is the written word, and i believe in them both.

I agree with you.

But I am concerned that some books were left out to fit Mans needs. My friend says God would never have allowed that to happen, and whats in the Bible is the only stuff that matters, but Id still like to have access to the countless books left out.

i believe that the word of god has been tainted by the hands of men trying to seek their own power through conforming the masses to follow their god
i do not believe in the Adam and Eve because the Bible states that one should not be incestuos however if we all come from those two individuals we must all have been incest
i believe that the Bible is a very strong moral teaching tool and i do believe in its values however i do not look at it as literal
