i had this idea....
a house church, no offering, just a bunch of neighbors, worship, and HELP each other!!! or help those we know NEED it.
networking on a "different" level.
i live in what i'd call a "typical" middle class neighborhood. there's "super"-churches popping up all over. i'm pretty sure this is NOT what Jesus would do. the average yahoo, having a say in what we do.... am i on to something here?

I think it is sad because I know the answer for alot of men and women, young and old, successfull and rich.. The truth is they can't have a good time with out a beer or some hard liquer in them! I am 47 and alot of my family on both sides drink more in a week then I could in a years time, and that is sad! But in our society, you cannot get the girl, the big job, or have lots of money..if you do not drink Bud, or a swig of whiskey! Are you like this? Or do you know people who are relatives, or friends that CANNOT have a good time with out drink in their hand? Be honest please.... :)

I'm not speaking on a technological level of course; I know that we've become more technologically adept as the years have progressed. I'm speaking more of... mindset, I suppose. Why is it possible to say that the mindset of society hasn't evolved at all, what evidence or specific examples are out there?

Survey 79...keep asking the same question under a different heading...
Girls look at this,
Girls be very very honest,
Girls rate these guys on their looks,...you know the ones, they show two ugly gits and ask you silly questions about whether you would ask them out etc..
I'm fed up to the back teeth with them and report every time it's posted. No-one else seems to want to back me up as they are still here. They have been suspended before but have come back...when will YA realize they are a pest and stop them returning.
Is it just me...does anyone actually like answering these stupid questions?

I am bothered by TV shows that portray the head of the household as an unreliable breadwinner and unloving husband. Do you enjoy watching this blatant misrepresentation of manhood on TV? Is this an accurate perception of the real man in your household? Not for me.

I just started a new job & I'm ready to quit. The pay is horrible & they do not train new associates. Then when I ask questions, everyone even the managers roll their eyes & talk to me like I'm a child. I have been doing my share of the work & others'.

I have a limited availability. I got this job to help out with bills (didn't need the job, just wanted to help out) but the pay will barely cover the gas I use up to get to work. At first, I had the idea that any job, any extra money would be good. But now, I don't think I can continue to work for people who don't respect me. I haven't found a single friendly co-worker. I'm not looking for friends, just someone who will teach me my job without talking down to me.

I am considering just not going back. My customers have better attitudes than my co-workers. My co-workers are even rude to the customers. I don't feel the pay ($6.45/hr 20-25 hrs/wk) is worth the hassle & stress. Should I just move on & find another job?

Interested to hear your opinions.

I'm 24, educated, smart and not 'easy' or 'sleazy'. I'm in a long term relationship, and totally loyal and in love.

I'm also an actress, and need a night job (so I can attend day-time auditions) that pays well. I have heaps of bartending experience, but it was hard to find anything that paid more than $14 or $15 per hour. Then I saw an add in the paper for a strip-bar bartender. I ended up accepting the job, because the tips will be great, easily $100+ on a busy night, on top of wages and extras.

It's a safe, clean place, and you're walked to your car at night. My partner trust me, and understands it's a job just for money.

How much will this job affect my career if I ever to get a big acting job or make a successful career as an actress? Do people really remember what the bartender looks like? Shall I use a fake name? Do people think anyone working in a place like that is a s**t, even if they're not stripping?

That's what it is, Christmas. So what is the big deal, why can't we call it that? It's blended America, but that doesn't mean that we can't celebrate Christmas. It doesn't offend me if someone says Happy Hannukah, so why should it be such a big deal for all to say Merrry Christmas? It worked in the past decades, what's different now that we all of a sudden can't say it?

Aren't you, like, uhhhh EQUAL to us?

Here's the definition of EQUALITY
"the quality of being the same in quantity or measure or value or status "

That means, equal responsibilities. You're not children. You can pay for us half the time, and we'll pay for you half the time.

I was born in Miami Fl., lived there 6 months, raised for 9 years in Niagara Falls NY (moms hometown) and then moved to Charlotte NC (dads hometown). The irony is that I couldn't have been born any further south in the states if it was possible.
I will never forget how cruel some kids in school were because I had a "yankee" accent and I was Catholic, it doesn't matter now, since I am older, but it never stopped when I was living in the south. I learned to laugh about it, you have too. I feel like some people are still "fighting the civil war" with their ignorance and intolerance. 5years ago, my husband got a job offer of a lifetime in NJ, so I was more than happy to move. I don't understand it.....when we visited our parents in NC with our NJ liscense plate on our car recently,we got our car keyed and a nasty note about "Yankee go home." I don't get it,why? My husband is a true southern gentlemen, thank God, since MS has caused me so much pain and disabilities. For that I'm lucky!

I thought Christmas all around the world marks the birth of Jesus Christ and is symbolic of Christianity. So why do atheists, agnostics, people who claim to be Christian but don't attend church celebrate and observe this holiday for Christians.

Muslims, Jews, Buddhists, Hindus and other religions have their own religious holidays. Why are these holidays not celebrated in America?

My friends were wondering about this strange trend in America?

This is just a hypothetical question to to get people thinking in a situation that could be threwn in front of them at any time. What would you do if it was you?
