I just started a new job & I'm ready to quit. The pay is horrible & they do not train new associates. Then when I ask questions, everyone even the managers roll their eyes & talk to me like I'm a child. I have been doing my share of the work & others'.

I have a limited availability. I got this job to help out with bills (didn't need the job, just wanted to help out) but the pay will barely cover the gas I use up to get to work. At first, I had the idea that any job, any extra money would be good. But now, I don't think I can continue to work for people who don't respect me. I haven't found a single friendly co-worker. I'm not looking for friends, just someone who will teach me my job without talking down to me.

I am considering just not going back. My customers have better attitudes than my co-workers. My co-workers are even rude to the customers. I don't feel the pay ($6.45/hr 20-25 hrs/wk) is worth the hassle & stress. Should I just move on & find another job?

I was ok with the pay at first. It's not the pay that's bothering me. Its the fact that the pay is not worth things I've been having to deal with. I figure it's better to just quit than to do something that'll get me fired, like speak my mind or tell someone off.

I would quit. Life is too short to waste your time .If you don't make enough money, they should at least make the job fun to go to.
Maybe if you are just looking for a bit of extra cash for the short term, how about something like a video store or front desk at a health club.At least then you can watch movies or work out for free.
I am starting a new job this week myself. Not too crazy about the late hours or fast pace but hopefully the money will be worth it.(21 Dealer in Vegas) Work sucks for just about everyone so the bosses should at least be cool.

Didn't they tell you what the pay was before you took the job? As for the way you're being treated, that is foul and if you can afford to give up the job, I would put in two weeks notice and look for something else. It may suck to have to do those last two weeks, but it's the right thing and you never know when you might come across someone from that job later on. Next time, don't even take the job if it's too far away or you don't agree with the pay you're getting; it will save you and the employer time and trouble in the long run.

Yup, been there, and it sucks. You just don't know what a job will be like until your start there. The most important thing is that if they are not training you properly, it is time to leave. I've left two jobs after only working there two weeks because they did not train their new employees properly. If they are not training you, you may be likely to get fired or written up in the long run anyway because of just doing the job wrong without realizing it.

Your best bet is to finish out the two weeks because it is never good to leave on a bad note. Say you didn't realize that the drive would be that much for you, or that you are having a scheduling conflict that you didn't anticipate.

If the job is causing you this much stress then yes, I think you should try to find something better.
