I'm not speaking on a technological level of course; I know that we've become more technologically adept as the years have progressed. I'm speaking more of... mindset, I suppose. Why is it possible to say that the mindset of society hasn't evolved at all, what evidence or specific examples are out there?

I think we've actually devolved. See, before we were at least open with stuff like racism, sexism or any kind of -ism. Now, even though in our mindset we're all a little prejudiced, we basically cover it up by pretending to be tolerant. For example, there was that incident at a university a while ago where a student had put a noose on the doorknob of a black teacher's classroom.

Sounds like you would make a good sociologist.
Well, study Pres. Reagan policy and then look at how things have progressed since then. I am not making a political statement here, just trying to get you more interested in how our society has changed over the years.
There will always be at least "two" views when it comes to politics. It is meant to slow things down and make sure that we got it right for the "bigger picture." Our children.

Evolution takes hundreds, thousands, millions of years. Well, some societies generally don't burn people who claim to be witches, heretics, etc... do they??? Just because society has not really advanced in the short time you've been alive means nothing!!!

There's no evidence that supports that claim AT ALL.
We have always and will always be evolving. Doesnt have to be for better or worse or in a certain direction.

Evolve just means 'to develop'.

I would argue that society HAS evolved.. values now favour the individual rather than the collective. Actually, maybe that is de-evolved and come full circle..

Society HAS evolved. A great deal. All you have to do is compare 13-year-olds from each decade to see what I mean.

Evolution is just change. It doesn't have to be change for the better.
