Since Jesus Christ saved me from my sins almost 29 years ago, I haven't touched a drop, and I have NEVER regretted it! The fact is that alcohol os for FOOLS AND LOSERS! Who says so? GOD DOES, in the Bible! I won't take the time here, but I can PROVE that! Proverbs 20:1 says, "Wine is a mocker, strong drink is raging; and whosoever is deceived thereby is not wise."
All you drinkers can HAVE that junk! I'd rather have my relationship with the Lord and really ENJOY life! I will NEVER have to worry about "hangovers", "DWI's", and ACTING SO STUPID AND IMMATURE without knowing what I was doing! Drink is DESTRUCTIVE! It has brought nothing but MISERY to the human race for thousands of years! And yet, blind fools STILL want to promote "devil's brew" as if it were "a good thing"! "It doesn't get any better than this!" may work for the BUD-STUPIDER admen, but in REAL life, that JUST AIN'T TRUE! Being SOBER 24/7 is the ONLY guarantee to NOT subjecting yourself to being a potential "statistic", and that means being a 100% T-Totaller! To ABSTAIN is to gain! To DRINK is to sink!
Please read and consider well the following poem called "The Bar" written by a convict in a Joliet, Illinois prison (most likely guilty of VEHICULAR MANSLUGHTER due to "drunk driving"!). It REALLY makes the point about this whole issue of "imbibing":
The name of each saloon's a Bar,
The fittest of its names by far.
A Bar to Heaven, a door to Hell,
Whoever named it named it well.
A Bar to manliness and wealth,
A door to want and broken health.
A Bar to honour, glory and fame,
A door to grief and sin and shame.
A Bar to hope, a Bar to prayer,
A door to darkness and despair.
A Bar to honoured useful life,
A door to brawling, senseless strife.
A Bar to all that's true and brave,
A door to every drunkard's grave.
A Bar to joys that home imparts,
A door to tears and aching hearts.
A Bar to Heaven, a door to Hell,
Whoever named it named it well!
A word to the wise is sufficient!!!

Personally I rarely drank even before having all the medicine I am on now, but although I didn't mind the odd drink, many is the time when opting for a non alcoholic evening that I have actually had a great time. A nice cup of tea and good company are better than a rowdy or unpleasant scene and perhaps a foul head the next day. Yes I will skip my meds Christmas day to have a drink with my son and daughter, and the same on new years eve. then back to being sensible, but not to not having fun. Sadly I do know lots who seem unable to have a good time without getting plastered and it is such a shame.

I get more out of life without alcohol than most 50 year olds have with it. I think the most unattractive thing is to see someone you love, completely changed by alcohol. both of my parents were alcoholics at one time, and that hurt me more than anything and the correct word for it is it "scarred" me. I absolutely hate anything related to "a good time drinking" because of that. they even promised they would quit multiple times and didnt, which shows me the power it has over people. I know im only 15 and I havent even had the chance to experience true life, but Ive had many many chances to drink and have a good time with other substances, and I chose not to because I dont want to rely on something so temporary. I can have a good time with my boyfriend and peer group going to the lake, driving around town on late nights, and we can all do it sober!

I'm one who can. Ex is an alcoholic and he couldn't have fun even if he was drinking!!!
If I go out with friends I can have a blast if I'm drinking a coke.
I MIGHT drink an alcoholic drink 1 or 2 times a year(special occasions). I got tired of the bars 12 years ago and it was the best thing I ever did..

I can have lots of fun without drinking. I would like to know what I get up to, so I prefer to stay sober...well, there are times when I'll have a drink (only on occassions). But put me and my cousin together and we'll have a helluva lot of fun!

not everyone is like that....many people get tired of the bar scene and also get so busy with their families or children or work they don't have time to drink much or party....
....I might sometimes drink a small glass of wine or beer...but it usually makes me sleepy....so I don't drink very often...and to me....there are many things I see people doing and having fun without drinking...
...like seeing a movie....walking on the beach.....playing with children.....or your pet....shopping....eating out......gardening....or smelling the roses kind of thing....seeing the stars out or a rainbow...
many little things can be enjoyed without drinking....
