...when they should have been concerned about the environment many many years ago. Ten years ago, not many people were making a big deal about the environment. Even when it was announced that the ozone layer was detetriorating, I don't think many people were concerned.

If they were concerned back then, why are they now?

PLEASE no smartypants answers. Thank you.

I know they provide blankets pillows and other stuff when they go to homeless shelters. I notice that the shelters give out items aswell, socks clothes foot powder deodorant etc... the one I know of at least..

I am asking more like, what do they usually need that shelters usually don't have enough of.. I know foot powder is usually something they run out quite quickly. Warm hats...

Anything else?

I know Jobs and a home is obvious..
Serious people only please.

But This is more of a giveaway bag my friend needs to know what to buy and hand out.

Is racial motivation always negative?

What if a person makes any given issue into a race issue whether truly accurate or not? Do you think being racially motivated can hinder a persons ability to rationalize and give an honest look at some issues?

I know I'll get slated for this question, but the scum around where I live have fireworks going off until 4am..... they also let them off in their front gardens, really stupid if you ask me.
I'd prefer to go to a display to be honest.

Much is talked/written about the pitfalls of modern life, give up to three things you like about it. (If you're outside UK, please specify!) Thanks.

The best way to get pot legalized is to have fair drug testing – test everybody!

Start with governmental employees, right up to the President. If I’m paying your salary, as a tax payer, you get random drug testing. You will get a minimum of one every year! This way the big boys at the top, the powers that be, will either have to quit getting high or stand up and be counted. This is the fastest was to decriminalize pot. In other words, let's drug test the people making the laws. See how quickly the laws are changed when it's their heads on the chopping block.
The corporation $100 million CFO can take a drug test just like the $18/hr shop worker.

GET IT?

People complain about the war in Iraq, how it's gone on too long, ruined too many lives, the opponent is too hard. The war on drugs has been giogn on much longer, ruined more lives than can be counted, costs a ton of money, and is pretty much a war they can't be won as there is really no enemy that can be pinponited, why don't people want to end the war on drugs but everyone wants to end teh war in iraq?

Well I'm in high school (grade 10) and there's so much homework to do (even on the weekend >:|) and sometimes I sit and think how strange it is that we do this work...like sometimes I feel like I won't remember this 10 years from now! lol And then sometimes I daydream about how cool it would be if I like...lived in San Francisco and went shopping every day or went out and just hung out with wildlife or something. Do you ever do this and is it normal?

And when I ask my parents about high school they never seem to have much to say...they don't have big stories of how great it is...so is it really the "best years of your life?"

Teachers always say it's for college...and there's another thing...college...I don't even know what I'll do...like what college or anything...I might just go to community college...

Last year when visiting Chicago I went back to a house I lived in 50 years ago. It was a 2 story, 4 unit building. It was in a very clean quiet neighborhood. It seemed much smaller than I remembered it and was in very good condition. Would you have knocked on the door and asked to see inside?

I got my friend a mini bear and balloon and that was gonna be the only present then I heard she was bored and got her a 65p magazine and before halloween i got her £2 halloween chocs now I feel like she might think I'm obsessed stalker or something coz i was only gonna get her the bear and matching balloon originally!
It was an important operation though she could have died or been paralysed and she'll be off school for months.

When I was seven or eight yrs old, every saturday, I would ride my little dirt bike about 6 miles to get two slices of mushroom/pepporoni pizza and a small coke from Pizza DiAmore for two bux ( I think the price just dated me a bit). I used my paper route money and always thought I was such a big fellow as I had to cross the freeway to get there and rse so far. Big lil man spending his hard earned money.
The last one closed abot a year ago.

So then my question is, do you ever get bummed out by the things of your childhood that have gone away?
