The best way to get pot legalized is to have fair drug testing – test everybody!

Start with governmental employees, right up to the President. If I’m paying your salary, as a tax payer, you get random drug testing. You will get a minimum of one every year! This way the big boys at the top, the powers that be, will either have to quit getting high or stand up and be counted. This is the fastest was to decriminalize pot. In other words, let's drug test the people making the laws. See how quickly the laws are changed when it's their heads on the chopping block.
The corporation $100 million CFO can take a drug test just like the $18/hr shop worker.

You seem to be saying that many law-makers and movers and shakers are using pot. I don't think that that is true, and would need to see substantiating proof. I've never heard of any CFO making a 100 million annual salary, either.
Your view is highly simplistic and changing the law isn't going to change the problems associated with pot use. You don't mention how you're going to deal with the impaired driving problems or the extra cost to health care, nor the fact that pot is usually a stepping stone to harder drug use.
The only thing that I complement you on is not being as idiotic as Governor Scwartznegger who is trying to completely sidestep all the issues by declaring that pot isn't a drug.

I think it should be legalized, it is the gateway drug to the harder drugs. If we legalized it then maybe kids would not have to be sneaky about doing it. As a parent who has seen drugs ruin my relationship with my son, I know the damage drugs do to people. Just stay to pot, the other drugs will take your life and your ruin your parents. I know I have been there.

hi mate from your description of the currency. I have to assume you are in the USA,fundamentally I agree that testing for drugs should not be levelled only, at the working man/woman,from reports here in the UK, top flight society seems to be very much involved on that scene, but having seen the effects of drugs usage, on patients my feeling is that if there is a medical use then, for that purpose legitimise that particular drug. As for the rest there is only one sad end for the user and I am sure you know what that is.

perchance human beings % it legalized because of the fact the federal government has NO impressive to tell human beings what to do with their bodies. era! Alcohol is volatile to the physique, and that's regulated. McDonalds is volatile to the physique, and that's legal. automobile would nicely be volatile to the physique, they're legal. prescription drugs will kill you, yet they're legal. did you be attentive to that the Veterans administration has ok'd their physicians to prescribe scientific M.J. to their sufferers in the event that they request it, yet warn the wellbeing care professional that doing so, would desire to be unlawful? Now how stupid is that? Why would they permit it, then extremely no longer enable it on a similar time? oftentimes used government stupidity. shall we make it legal, then alter it. shall we placed the drug cartels out of employer and out of our usa. you will desire to discover that originally lots of persons would smoke the stuff, yet then the numbers would drop off rapidly as human beings discover that it is not what they theory. lots persons drank lots of beer and alcohol in intense college and school, yet then decreased or stopped all jointly whilst we've been given out into the real worldwide.

brutal is right, decriminalization comes first. i like the idea of turning the random testing around on the gov, but i don't support testing for marijuana under any circumstance. it would be such a pressure release if we could decriminalize then legalize.

Absolutely. In a capitalist society nothing that makes money should ever be illegal. Americans seem incapable of learning the most unsubtle lessons from our history: Prohibition brought us organized crime and did nothing to stop people from drinking.
