It's not going to happen...here's why:
As much as the government wants us to think they'd like everyone to quit smoking.....Big Brother is in bed with Big Business (the tobacco industry is BIG business).
The government could not survive without all the tax money they get from tobacco companies. It cost only small change to make a pack of cigarettes. Cigarettes cost around $6 to buy...they're not going away any time soon.

Is anyone really gonna read my answer? If not then why am I writing this? Blah -
Banned completely would be fine with me. I know it's a persons decision to smoke. But from what I've heard from people who do smoke, wish they had never started but just can't stop.
They know it's horrible for their health, and since they can't stop themselfs. Let the ____ take care of it and make it banned. That way it's like a mother says it's bad for you and you shouldn't have it.

No I don't think it should be banned, as that is taking away our freedom of choice.
But........................ The smoking ban has made your health worse than it was before the ban, why????? Everyone is smoking outside now, so when you and your kids walk down the street all you are breathing in is cigarette smoke. My 3 year old stinks of nicotine. Its no nice nor fair.

No, I think people should be allowed to make an informed decision when it comes to smoking.
If smokers want to kill themselves its their choice, I don't mind aslong as I'm not forced to inhale their putrid second hand smoke.
Making it illegal would only force trade underground anyway, atleast if its legal the smokers are paying for their treatment (when they eventually become ill from a smoking) in the form of tax.

When did this country become so pious but also irreligious? Ban this, ban that, it goes on forever.
We all our pet hates but that is not to say that people with different views are wrong. We need to relax a bit more it seems to me. We are rapidly turning into a nark's state.

compared to other things that are bad for people, do you think they'll manage to ban alcohol, drugs ( illegal ) or over-eating?
yes they probably should but won't they make too much tax from them.
