Here are a few of the problems in my opinion and my reasons for thinking so:

Political Correctness - Everyone is so worried about offending everyone nowadays that you can't get anything done. Recently, there was a news story about nooses being on the rise for Halloween decorations. I took a look at this story and sighed. It is just a decoration. Yes it had significance in the past, but this is a once a year thing. If someone had one hanging from a tree 24/7 I might question it. But hanging a Halloween monster is not racism. Another story I liked, when I was in High School, our English teacher actually told us that we had to preface any statement we were going to make with "In my opinion". This lead to such ridiculous sentences such as "In my opinion, the sky is blue". To someone who is colorblind, I guess they might take offence at that statement

Mass Media - These people are getting worse all the time. I am not referring to any one network in particular. But just a few weeks ago, we had the story of Ellen's dog troubles. WHO CARES? Yes it was all over the networks as an injustice and people weighing in on what should be done. She broke the contract, end of story. The news covers things that shouldn't be covered just for shock value. When I watch the news, I want to know what is happening that actually concerns me. I want to know the weather, what I should watch out for and some national news that doesn't have to do with who is dating who.

Lawsuits - This makes me furious. People can sue you for just about anything. We had a case here where it was snowing had last winter. 1am, the night it started snowing, some nut decided to go for a midnight jog. He slipped on a sidewalk and injured himself. He sued the homeowner and won. What? Are we supposed to sit outside in lawn chairs with our shovels ready to plow at a moments notice? Honestly. The judge should have thrown him in prison. And it happens all the time. Another example, the "Birth Certificate" "Swear word" "Cabbage Patch" scandal. Apparently the Serial number on a certificate with this popular doll had a swear word in it. It wasn't intentional, just happened that way. For example: 87T35FUDGE84736ER. Ok sure, I can understand the company changing it, but the family actually collected damages. FOR WHAT? Did the child actually sit there and read the serial number? I don't even remember any of my serial numbers. The word only has power if the child knows what it is. If he/she pointed it out to the parents, the damage was already done.

Extreme Feminism - This is a sensitive subject for me. I am all for Women's empowerment. It's great that they are equals now and I am happy. The things that I find distasteful are two things.

1) Sexual Harassment suits with no grounds - For example, if men are sitting around talking as men always have and a woman happens to overhear something and reports it. We weren't directing anything to that woman; it's just how men have always communicated. Visit a locker room in any Middle/High School.

2) Segregation complaints - Take the Curves Gym, the Women Only Gym. There was a case where a Men's only gym was created and Women's Rights people jumped all over it until it allowed women as well. This is crazy. It is up to the business owner to decide who he/she wants to serve.

**Edit**
Hehe steven25t, you should have seen me angry while I wrote this.

Giving children rights. When I was growing up teachers could whack you on the ***. Somehow that got deleted from our schools. If a parent spanks his child now that is child abuse. I think this was the start of the decline. Think about it than you will see what I mean.

I think the blame goes to the people who believe there is no such thing as "absolute truth".
