With genetic disorders and diseases ever increasing---from 1400 to 12,000 in the 33 years from 1966 to 1999 and projected to increase further, are we doomed to extinction by the end of this century as some researchers have stated?
Quote "By 2031, it is estimated (R2 = 0.995) there will be 100,000 human genetic disorders and by 2096 1,000,000 (see Figure 3). “At least one clinical disorder has been related to 1,318 of the mapped loci (roughly 30%)” (McKusick, 1998, Vol. 1, xiii - xviii). That suggests genetic disorder saturation of each locus by 2031 and supersaturation by 2096. These data confirm human devolution and suggest imminent permanent genetic extinction in this century."

No matter how sure you are of something, someone ends up trying to disprove you. Plus, even when you are completely sure that you are right, isn't there the possibility that you might be wrong?

When I look at the teen and twenty-something generation of today, I see a lot of whiney, cry baby, spineless wussies who are going to drive our society into the freaking ground.

But I am wondering if the generation before mine thought the same thing about my generation.

"No flag", of "any" country, should "ever", be burned. It is a statement "of "who, "they" are". This is my true feeling and my "reason why. Whatever happened "to "hope? I believe our United States of America" Flag" represents "all". "Freedom", to live on this planet', without being abused by any human. Male or Female. ( Animals do not threaten humans. ) "Its, "Your flag", "of "your country"; or "nation" and "all"; "of "who", you are.

(Katrina) Did the breaching of the leeves and aftermath demonstrate the ways in which race and class are significant in U.S society? Do you believe there are two "two Americas" or "multiple Americas"?

The whole "Emo" thing is so popular with people nowadays?

This is just my opinion, but I think that it is totally useless.

My neighbor keyed my car. I called to police and I find out she's got a pending case against her for assulting a guy. He got an order of protection against her. How do I deal with this nut? I used to be nice to her but she got to overbarring, and I backed off.

WHY?

ok so i moved up temporarily into a management position and a girl got my position while i was out. I didnt like it and i told my manager i didnt think she was ready. i realized i didnt need to be the person telling my boss what she was doing wrong so i changed my attitude and tried to help the girl and encourage her even though she was very very rude to me, i brushed it off and tried to be the bigger person

. Anyhow today im trying to help her out and give her an easier way to do things && an hour later my boss calls me and tells me to quit calling her and leave her alone. i promise you folks i was nice to her and never was rude, she hates that i have been @ the company a lot shorter time then her and moved up faster, but this is ridiculous. should i keep my mouth shut from now on

? what can i do to make my boss see im not a troublemaker (she didnt imply i was but it seems to me like i am lol)

if you went it up a chinese person & pointed out they were chinese, they might be offended? Me & my friend were talking about that the other day.
Another example.
-Looks at last name-Oh, you're Polish! (no offence taken)
-Looks at skin color-Oh, you're African American! (offence taken)
^(that being said nicely too.)
Idk, is just weird. My friend & I were talking about it the other day.

...If the money was right? I've heard that female actresses earn up to $6000 per scene. Would you be willing to do the job if offered this kind of money and given the opportunity to choose your male co-star as well? I'd be interested to know just how many of you out there would be adventurous enough to take the plunge.

A girl in southeast Illinois received two days of detention for giving two of her friends goodbye hugs after school was over for the week. According to her mother, they were not full-on hugs but merely throwing her arm across her friends shoulders and giving them a squeeze. If the girl refused detention she would have had to serve two days of suspension.

Her school's handbook PDA policy states: "Displays of affection should not occur on the school campus at any time. It is in poor taste, refects poor judgment and brings discredit to the school and the persons involved."

Your thoughts?

I hate it when I cant get the food I want and I have to travel far to get it. I live in Pound Ridge, NY and I dont have that many choices. Certain foods and restaurants are far so if I travel there I would have to buy a lot of food so I dont have to travel that far again so soon. Sometimes I might travel 50 miles or more.
