The whole "Emo" thing is so popular with people nowadays?
This is just my opinion, but I think that it is totally useless.

I know that some people do it so that they can be "unique" and whatever, but how can you really be unique if there are a thousand people out there that dress the same way and act the same way as you?

yeh just another way for teenagers to try and be rebels and think they are cool by acting all depressed and stuff.

Depressed teens want to feel like they relate to someone else.
Thus the reason teens carry out so many fads. They want to feel like someone.
Being a teenager is probably the most controversial, difficult, depressing, etc. time in a person's life.
The emo stage is not so far off from the punk rock or grunge movements.

Emo means emotion.In line with islamic teaching we should control our emotions .The great war as spoken by Muhammad pbuh is how to control well our emotions or desires properly.Doing something with fullof emotion is not allowed by God because it will endanger others.So emo is totally useless and endanger others if it is not controlled well.

emo comes from the word emotional... yes its useless because nowadays many people listen to that music and when they hear that they start open up there emotions that sometimes result to suicide..

Emo is very short for being emotionally distressed... People consider themselves "emo's" just for fun... to act cool I guess....

People who are feed up with the "OMG! Did you see the sale at American Eagle yesterday? It was soo fabulous!" and want to be more of an individual and just generally piss people off.

I only wish I knew, our whole generation is like, overcome with the "emo" fad. It kind of scares me.
