i doubt it too. If you know the person that you sent the package too, you can call them and have them write
REFUSED on the package, as long as they do not open it, the post office will return it back to you free of charge.
In the meantime, if this is for an ebay shipment, you might want to email the person whose stuff is going to the wrong house and tell them about the delay. They are not going to be that happy about it but at least you were honest with them and let them know what is going on. I would offer to refund them if they cannot wait for the entire process to straighten itself out. If you mailed it today, you can expect the package to get back to you in 6 working days provided the person on the other end writes refused on the outside of the box and requests that it be returned to sender.
GOOD LUCK
and dont be too hard on yourself. It happens to the best of us

Yes.
Tomorrow, you go to the Post office and fill out a 1509 Recall of Mail notice.
They will contact the receiving office and advise the carrier not to deliver this item, but return it to you for proper handling

probably not. Just send the correct stuff though first priority mail and let the recipient know that one of the envelopes has the wrong data.

Probably not, but call your local post office, or wherever it was you sent it.
Also, as a precautionary measure, let the person who is receiving the package know about your error so that they will not be alarmed.

This sounds like the movie of Road Trip if you ask me.
You probably can't stop them, but try calling them and seeing, can't hurt to try....but don't get your hopes up
