i'm turning 18 sometime later this year, and i don't think i want to have a party that's too formal - with people wearing gowns and suits and all that... can you give me some alternatives? (and no swimsuit parties, please)... also, aside from the 18 candles, roses, and treasures, what else can you suggest? a friend of mine who just celebrated her debut did 18 shots (people described her, made a wish, and then drank a shot of tequila)... any other ideas? nothing too fancy or expensive, by the way... thanks

If someone killed your child or raped your wife or daughter, do you support the idea of letting them go just because the went to another country? Is that justice? If someone is hiding in mexico, are they not accountable for their actions here in the states? Should we just let it go?

Who are the everyday people in your neighborhood that walk the streets/live on the streets...describe them..or if they have names, say them....

For the people I knew about in Berkeley,Calif(where I am originally from) there was the "Bubble Lady",and also "the hate man"..two very well known Berkeley people...and a long time ago, I remember a young guy(when I was attending high school in Berkeley,Calif) that used to always carry a guitar around his neck, whereever he went....now there is still the Bubble lady, and the Hate man...among so many newer ones....there...what about you all? What State and what's ther street person(s) you encounter?
what do you like ,not like, or think is interesting about these people?

America did not always "stick its nose" into other countries business. We used to stay as far away as we could from interaction with the rest of the world.

Would the world be better without the "World Police" - America?

Okay. I have met people from other countries such as Jamaica Trinidad and other islands who say when they came here they were introduced to an intire new culture of racism. The people that I speak of have been of black and Indian descent. They say when they were back in their countries there were many different races of people like in America but they did not really recognize these differences. So what is your oppinion on why American people seem to be the most racist people. And those of you who just want to say something stupid like "then they should go back to their country". People just follow the money trail and it leads to America. So shut it smart ***.

The idea that races even exists astounds me. There is no such thing as 'race' - just gene pools that are indigenous to certain land masses. Asians, for example, do not exist - just people with Asiatic physical characteristics. Consider if everyone looked exactly the same, if the Europeans went to Africa and the Africans looked just like them. Do you think the Africans would have been targeted if they looked just like Europeans? It appears that Africans were basically targeted because of their skin color and subsequent assumptions were made about people with that skin color. But aside from what is on the outside, all people are exactly the same on the inside and would probably be treated the same if only they were also the same on the outside. So how can anyone rightly treat people differently because of their looks and actions when everyone is really exactly the same aside from looks and actions?
