How do you know those old days where golden and the moral was high on those days ?. It is all written in the books, some true and some may not be true., you cannot compare modern days life style with the old-cold days. See the speed of today's life and the advancement of technology......no one has time to sit back and just relax now., every one is busy searching the prospects and better situation......so if you see the moral are missing....don't get upset......enjoy life and do not hurt anyone on the course......we make values...and it is for the betterment only....be positive always...Good Luck.

Ya the good ole days read a few books maybe like "A tale of 2 cities" and the scarlet letter to get a little perspective on the good old days. You werent there. Obviously theres a reason the civil rights movement occurred. The good old days is an illusion never was never will be. The world is just as moral as its ever been.

I don't know what you mean by modernity but I do know that economic pressures drive us all do things that we would think we would never do.
