I know this is a very strange question but tonight me and my girl were watching this comedy show and they stated something about giving a courtesy flush while occuping; the rest room. Now I have heard this somewhere before and thought I would see if there really is an answer to this. (Or maybe im still back in the stone age...lol)

A flush in the middle of the toilet-sitting process in order to reduce the aroma...usually performed on a "foreign throne" as a courtesy to the owner of said throne... in other words, to be polite and not stink up the host's crapper too much.

I take it to mean that when someones going #2, it tends to smell. A courtesy flush is meant to flush the stinky stuff down before the whole bathroom stinks. Then the next flush would be the finishing. So its meant to keep the smell away from the other occupants.

The quicker you flush, the quicker the odor will dissipate. So, you give a courtesy flush before you're really done so as not to stink out the other patrons of a public restroom.

Courtesy flush means to start flushing the second your s**t hits the water...flush two or three times if need be to keep the odor to a minimum.

NO MY FRIEND, YOU'RE NOT IN THE STONE AGE. A COURTESY FLUSH IS USUALLY USED MORE BY WOMEN THAN MEN. HOWEVER, IT PERTAINS TO BOTH. WHILE YOU ARE USING THE TOILET, YOU FLUSH. THAT WAY THERE IS NO SOUND OR ODOR. PEOPLE CAN ONLY GUESS WHAT YOU'RE DOING OR WHAT YOU'VE DONE!

To say it politely, it means when u r in the restroom going #2 or going poo and the stinch is so bad, u need to do a "couresty flush" to eliminate the odor & relieve ur guests nose(s). Then u can finish the rest of your restroom business. I hope this helps you.

I always understood it to be flushing the toilet right after you "poo," even if you're not done, so the smell doesn't linger in the bathroom.

It's when you're pooping and it smells so bad that you flush the toilet before you're done so it doesn't smell as bad to others.
