My family and I (husband & 2 kids) were born and raised her in San Diego, CA. We are looking for cheaper housing? We've been thinking about AZ. It's about 1800.00 for a 2 bedroom apt. Do any of you live somewhere where it's more afforable or can you give suggestions, we want to get out of CA. Thanks1

Changing locations is a major decision. I suggest you consider your job potential and quality of education for your children as prime factors. There is a good web site you should visit to find the ideal location.

$1800 for a 2 bedroom apt? Wow. That's almost unheard of where I'm at (Portland, Oregon). A 2 bdrm apt around here goes for anywhere from $600-$1000. I pay $900 for mine, and it's a beautiful restored Victorian with high cielings, full eat in kitchen with cherry wood cabinets, wood floors and stained glass.

Canada, Australia, Mexico. I have never ever found a cheap place to live in the USA. Mexico right now is 9.9 peso's to the Canadian dollar so the American dollar would have to be about 13 peso'd to the dollar, Rent is about 650 Canadian per month in mazatlan and that comes with daily maid service and still only one block from the beach. If you can work from home you can live anywhere.

In all the cities in Texas you can find a wide range of rent amounts. Fort Worth is between 550 and 1000 a month Dallas is about the same maybe a little higher, etc. depends on what your looking for.
