I have been a sawyer (not necessarily a logger) as part of my job for almost 12 years now. I've been certified at the highest level for 8 of those years. This is a UK question, why is it whenever I see news articles in the media it always includes a teenager moaning about having nothing to do? A generation that is better off than most previous other generations which has the most forms of entertainment with DVD's, mobile phones, CD's, computers entertaiment consoles, televisions potentially capable of getting hundreds of channels, cinemas et al...I was a child in the seventies and eighties and we didn't have alot but I always found something to do. The fact we have given them everything means they expect even more, they lack motivation or creativity, the PC brigade and compensation culture have taken the risk away from so much. If teens have nothing to do and nowhere to 'hang out' they should get out and do something about it by raising the profile and taking place in raising funds instead of whingeing

I typed the word suicide and looked into the results. Wat i saw was RUBBISH! people saying 'oh ppl will miss u' , 'you will go to hell' , 'i am here for you (even though the person has no clue who the hell u are)' , blah blah blah .. BULLSHI%! I jus want to say that everyone is out for themselves! and this whole everyone loves u is crap! Cause your alone buddy! the world is a shitty place and “nice folks” act that way so they can feel good about themselves cause they 'saved somebody' or gave to charity oooo I feel so good! Why do about 80% of the questions posted on Yahoo Answers are so stupid? Stupid, unrelated and totally out of the matter. I don't mean that those who ask such questions are stupid and I must say that I appreciate those 20% who ask pertinent questions and give complete, helpful answers although I am not for sure one of those. I was told this evening that the person found it odd to discover (through our conversation) that I had thought and compassion for stangers I don't know. I most certaintly have feelings and care for people close in my life . . . Yet, the person found it ' unusual ' that I would have care or thought for a person I did'nt know.

What is your thought on that ? Am I ' odd ' to feel care or give thought to people I just see on the ' street ' that seem ' offset ' or homeless. I strongly feel that those persons should, at one point, strive to better themselfs. Yet, at the same time I know they have ' their own story ' of how they came to that ' place ' . . . thus I feel compassion and care for them.

Ok, Im not saying the 'holocaust' didn't happen because it did and it is absouloutly horrible.I mean since I was in 2nd grade up to my senior year in Highschool that is all I was told and tought. Im sure most of us were as well, nothing wrong with that, right? Wrong!!!
why?, because it wasn't the only holocaust that happened or has ever occured. Don't get me wrong I am thankful to be knowlegeble about the german holocaust but what about the cambodian holocaust? The tutsi genocide? The millions that were masacred under musulini? The holocasut of guatemala? The holocaust of muslims in places like india, and bosnia? The holocaust of millions among millions whom were killed in places like china.Why is the 'jewish holocasut' t(not to mention the forgotten gaysgypsi's,jehovas witness, and other groups that were targeted during the german holocaust)the only one our american textbooks recognize. Why is the genocide of Jews given more importance then others in our classrooms and textbooks?

There also was a HBO special on it. For those of you who don't know, it is a legal brothel in Nevada near Reno. What do you think of this idea? I have mixed feelings. I wish they would have showed some of the negative stuff that goes on rather than it's great money and totally safe. Condoms fail. Clients are not required to get tests for STDs beforehand and even if they were, they could easily fake the forms. On the otherhand, what about guys that just can't get laid, I feel sorry for them and these places can help them. I was an exotic dancer and although many of you feel that is very degrading, I didn't have to sleep with the customers!
