I am doing a school project against rascism and I thought this would be a good way to show that rascim does not only exist amoungst us humans. It also exists among dogs.

What I am looking for is a % of how many murders there have been in Canada by the Pit Bull breed or any country. Than I would compare this to ciggarates, crime, automobiles ..etc and show the real stats.

Does anyone know?

Having once been over weight myself, and eventually struggling with anorexia nervosa, I have begun to think about the the conflicting extremes of obesity and eating disorders. Both of these are hot button issues, and both clearly need to be addressed in our society. Due to the dynamics of the media in the US, only one of these can be focused on at a time. My question is, eating disorders or obesity...which is most damaging to American society as a whole and should be addressed as top priority?

Even stuff, America logo's are not from here. I've seen an America flag "made in China". Should we do something? These are jobs for our kids.Other countries get paid less , you paid the same and the Company gets the Big Bucks. What the difference between Walmart stuff and Sear.?Nothing. See how many things in your house are actually MADE IN AMERICA? Don't forget Glass and metal,etc......Trades and talent we have. Why get it away?

TEXAS always tops! Every other state (or country) just isn't as great! We're just waiting for that frozen barren Alaska to melt before we become the biggest state again. We are the best, most incredible, most interesting, friendliest COUNTRY in the world! Each city is amazing and has its own character, and the history is very rich! God Bless TEXAS!

Second: Tennessee. Still a great state! I'd say it's the prettiest of these three states (Natchez Trace, Smokies, etc.) The atmosphere is still pretty mellow, and the food is SOOO good! Nashville is booming, Memphis is unique, and "Rocky Top" is a cool song! I just don't like their redneck cops.

Last: Kentucky, for it to be so economically dismal, the people are very snooty, closed and think they are "special" (like "white trash with money!") The horse farms are beautiful. But, the eastern KY mountains are not pretty at all after fall foliage; in fact, they are really quite trashy. I lived there--now, I don't even like to visit!

This is just a small sampling of some of the questions I see out here.

Is it just me, or is it extremely sad and disappointing that in this day and age, young girls are still seeking external validation and are ASKING if it's ok to feel a certain way? And that they're still buying into gender-appropriate interests?

Today I met a really lovely person with a really great outlook on life. She had spinabifida but doesn't let it stop her enjoying life.Her mother had been caring for her for the last 33 years and you could tell they have a great relationship.
We have prenatal screening for so many things now it would be so tempting not to go through with a pregnancy that might produce a child less than perfect.
My wonderful son (now 11) developed cancer when he was 4.He had chemotherapy and has now been well for 7 years and has every chance of staying well. But I have to admit If I had been told in early pregnancy I was carrying a child with a genetic fault that would lead to cancer I might have concidered not having him and that would have been a huge mistake.
