I'm a mom of a teenage daughter who called me from school yesterday to tell me there was a student on campus who wanted to fight her and there were several other young ladies with her. After repeated calls to the school and to the local police department, I made it to school before any staff or authorities arrived (about 25min or more). There were two cars occupied by several young ladies and one young lady who kept getting in & out of the vehicle in an attempt to go after my daughter. The young ladies saw me coming and one of the vehicles tried to make a grand exit and sped through a student parking lot in a big suburban running over a landscape island and barely missing vehicles & students. I followed but nothing happened...one young girl is a student and the other was her big sister and the other carload still remains unknown. I plan to speak with school authorities today. Will offering my own discipline to her parents be wrong? It is obvious they have no home training.

If a woman has the right to terminate a pregnacy, because of her right to chose. Should a man have the right to not take care of a child physically, finacially or emotionally if he clearly states in the beginning that he wants nothing to do with the child. A man could want to focus on his career, education, not want to children at the time, or a number of other reasons the woman might use to have an abortion. If a woman has a right to chose to be a parent or not, shouldn't the man have the same right? Its only fair and everyone claims to want to be equal.

I live next to the most awful couple. They're in their 80's & still fighting fit, but their very presence makes me feel oppressed. They've not wanted anything to do with my child and I (I'm a widow) since the day I moved here 35 years ago. In fact, they don't want anything to do with anyone in our neighbourhood. I've tried every which way I can to 'break the ice' between us, but they remain hostile. They don't answer the door to anyone. It's like living next to the invisible couple, in fact. Anyway, he (the husband) cannot keep his hands off our dustbin. He keeps looking inside it, and transferring his rubbish from his own into ours. I got so fed up that I wrote & told him to keep his hands off our property. He's the type of person who doesn't like anything that doesn't belong to him on his side of the property, & the bin men often leave our bin in his drive after collection. Yesterday, he kicked our bin to my side of the drive, just missing hitting my car. What can I do?

I routinely surf a lot of multi-national forums and I keep running into the same conundrum. There'll be a Brit (or an Aussie, or a Frenchmen, or a Canadian... but 90% of the time, it's a Brit) who'll go on and on incessantly about how much s/he hates Americans and then rant about how we have this obsession with guns and shooting ourselves. If they hate Americans so much, wouldn't it make said Brit happier that we're killing ourselves?
