Tall girl on night shift was Amazon
Heavy set guy with a big bushy beard was Grizzly Adams
Guy named Gordon calle dhim the fisherman after Gordon Fisherman
My boss at the time called him the professor ...calls he knew everything.

Nicknames tend to stem from association from the person to another thing eg when my hair gets longer it starts to curl like a Jewish guy and I get the name "Jew curls" or a person with gingers can have a bad complexion and they could look like salami so people would call them salami, nicknames also stem from the real name of the person eg Michael-Mick-Micka or James-Jim-Jimbo.
