What I mean is that you go to a country like Holland. Legalised prostitution and Cannabis. The country is not crime ridden, they have a low teen pregnancy and is very civilised. Canada is next to the USA and they also have guns, yet they don't have a high murder rate like their cousins next door. Why is it that some nations people seem to act more civilised then others. Is it music, tv, parenting skills?

Its not like I'm a nudist or anything but I love being nude. I think I should be able to jog, exercise, walk my dog, shop, etc. in the nude if I feel like it. Foreign countries think nothing about this. Its everyday activity.

If all the executions performed in this country were publicly broadcast over t.v. and/or the internet would this have any impact as a deterrent to prevent crime? Are we as a society to leanient on violent offenders as we continue prosecuting "crimes" that just fill the prison quotas and were not even considered criminal offenses until recently?
