Its not like I'm a nudist or anything but I love being nude. I think I should be able to jog, exercise, walk my dog, shop, etc. in the nude if I feel like it. Foreign countries think nothing about this. Its everyday activity.

I agree. We should be able to do the everyday things naked if we choose, without it being frowned upon. Some might say that it would be disrespectful to other people's feelings/beliefs. What if my beliefs are that nudity is not shameful or anything that should be hidden? Why should I have to cover up then?

I'm American and I don't have any "hang ups" on nudity. I'd personally rather jog, exercise, walk my dog and shop in clothing, comfort issue and all, but I wouldn't mind if someone else did it all naked... as long as they didn't bother me to join in. Really, you might want to try rephrasing your question to include the fact that not all Americans, as implied by your use of "Americans" have a hang up on the nudity of others.

And I wouldn't recommend making a salad in the nude. That's just one of those times where it would suck to get your schlong confused with a cucumber.

I think it stems from a couple of areas....first our origins are puritins that fled England (primarily), but also the fact that we are such a conglomeration of cultures. Where say France is primarily French people with French values, The US is not a majority of any one culture....many in the US wouldn't mind the nudity, but we also have to respect the values of everyone here and Muslims for one are very against public nudity.

I think nudity is fine, but some things should not be done nekkid. Cooking for example shouldn't be done. If you are a woman, jogging nude is fine as long as you have nice boobs that don't flop too much. Guys really shouldn't jog nude because thier wankies will flail about.

Difference in culture. As a society we are taught at a very young age, it is not appropriate to be nude in public or in front of others. It is ingrained in our culture. God bless****

If everyone went nude, no one would mind. The problem is everyone go around fully clothed and seeing someone male or female nude is a shock. There are tribes in south America that have been nude for centuries with no problems.

Many people said that Americans not as open minded and liberated as their entertainment business at all. In reality Americans are so obnoxious, conventional in the way they are thinking, uneasy, stuck up, snob, full of hatred and paranoia.
