If all the executions performed in this country were publicly broadcast over t.v. and/or the internet would this have any impact as a deterrent to prevent crime? Are we as a society to leanient on violent offenders as we continue prosecuting "crimes" that just fill the prison quotas and were not even considered criminal offenses until recently? (25yrs or less)

I think some people would come to see it as a badge of fame ! Like in the gangs they idolize those who have been killed. If you got to be executed on TV or any other live forum your so called friends and family could turn you into a martyr !
