Why do about 80% of the questions posted on Yahoo Answers are so stupid? Stupid, unrelated and totally out of the matter. I don't mean that those who ask such questions are stupid and I must say that I appreciate those 20% who ask pertinent questions and give complete, helpful answers although I am not for sure one of those. I would appreciate a sincere and whitty answer more than anything. I welcome intelligent answers containing more than 4 words to easy win 2 points .

HA... I agree to a point. Some people have odd questions. I have always been taught no question is a stupid question. No matter how bazzar, they still may be curious. My brother has mental "problems" some of his questions are off the wall, but sincere. I am not saying they are posted by those with mental problems, here. But I am tolerant of them... just skip over them.
I do report the ones that don't pose to be questions... or are spam. Hit the "report" flag.
As far as the answers... I agree some people just put down mindless answers. Report them.

You honestly answered your own question. And yahoo answers does not have to be serous all the time. Yes people need help with big decisions or other serious questions. But there is no law saying people can't ask questions for fun either.

I think there are some categories in YA that I have to give serious, thoughtful and profound answers. And there are some sections in YA where I don't need to put an effort to give my best thoughts such in P&S one. I try to be resilient as well like everybody does.

please dont come here and expect to be serious. sure you can ask serious questions and even get serious answers but in general its just for fun.
