There also was a HBO special on it. For those of you who don't know, it is a legal brothel in Nevada near Reno. What do you think of this idea? I have mixed feelings. I wish they would have showed some of the negative stuff that goes on rather than it's great money and totally safe. Condoms fail. Clients are not required to get tests for STDs beforehand and even if they were, they could easily fake the forms. On the otherhand, what about guys that just can't get laid, I feel sorry for them and these places can help them. I was an exotic dancer and although many of you feel that is very degrading, I didn't have to sleep with the customers!

I didn't see the special but I'm from Reno and I've heard of the brothel. I wouldn't ever go there. I don't really support prostitution but I don't really mind having it in Nevada. It just adds to the character of Reno. The casinos are really fairly pretty. Not too many locals gamble. It's too bad that Reno has such a bad reputation. Downtown isn't all of Reno, not everyone is a drunk, prostitute, or gambler, and Reno 911 is such an insult to our police department that it almost makes me sick (despite how it is fairly funny). We have many exotic dancers and places like the Wild Orchid, and stuff but that's not all Reno is. Many tourists may only see the bad parts of Reno, not the places that most people live in or something. Anyhow, I doubt that more than 3% of Reno citizens have ever been with a prostitute even though we see them on 4th street any day of the week.

Yeah, I seen both specials. I feel people are entitled to do what they wish with their lives. Hopefully each girl is taking care of herself and not just relying on the Ranch to ensure her safety.
