My brother and I discovered a fire and when we were safely out he said do you want to pull the fire alarm? How is it that he asked me as opposed to him doing i? Was it because he knew that I could do a good job ? We are both around the same age(I'm older)/How is it that he even read the directions with me, His friend was there and he asked me as opposed to his friend how was this? Was it normal that we both read the directions? Was it normal that his friend watched us? We were safe and we wanted to be sure everyone is safe.

My husband claims that panthers have never been native to North America. The question came up because I'd been re-reading (for the first time) 2 of the Laura Ingalls Wilder books that reference panthers--I'm talking about black panthers, not pumas or the like called by that name. I know of course that panthers also live in the forests of East Asia, I'm just not sure of the exact relationship between the species, if they are different species.

Before you tell me, I know I know I know: Ingalls' works are considered historical fiction, not biography, and I completely accept that, BUT...I know I've heard the word panther applied to North American wildcats before!! And I'm pretty damn sure I've heard of black-coated large Northern American wildcats referred to as panthers in other sources besides Wilder. Are people confusing two types of cats? Or are they the same?

To cut to the chase...what is a panther?

If you can cite a source, that's especially good...thanks.

Seriously though, why do people feel the need to type everything like illiterate morons? Is it that hard to use proper spelling and grammar? Also, Spell-Check...yeah, it's here for a reason.

If cow tipping is so possible, (I know it's not) then why isn't there a video of it all over the web. You have to admit that would be a very popular video. There is a video of anyone doing anything on the web. It you search for a cow-tipping video, you'll only get videos of failed attempts. There is no successful tip video on the web. I'm doing this to prove my classmates wrong.

The young woman in this article is a friend of ours who was bi-polar and delustional. She told all of us she was estranged from her entire family and that no one loved her. We were all shocked and depressed to hear this on the news - and there was no obituary. We have no information what *really* happened (suicide - or was she just hearing voices) we can't contact her family because we don't know anything about them - she told us "I do NOT have ANY contact with ANY of them". We want to bring flowers to her grave if there is one and say a few words. We need help getting her death certificate which would have that information - but we legally, we are not considered "blood family". We just want to know what happened to her in those last few moments. Did she suffer? Was it suicide? Someone, PLEASE if you have access to this info, Please help us. Thank you

Look, I know that humans are naturally equipped to eat meat--you can tell what an animal eats by its teeth. As humans have both canines for tearing flesh & molars for crushing vegetation, we're by nature omnivores.

BUT... we're not guided purely by instinct. Unlike a wolf or tiger, which MUST eat meat--people have the option of not eating meat and yet still being healthy.

I do eat meat, yet more & more I have a problem eating cows, sheep, & pigs. These are all pretty intelligent animals. Pigs are more intelligent than the dogs and cats we have as pets.
These 3 animals are advanced enough to have distinct personalities, to feel and give affection, and to feel pain & fear.

People who eat meat should at least once in their life have to slaughter a cow or pig... and butcher it, etc. To see how it's done, and to get a real perspective of it. I have far more respect for hunters who eat what they kill than people who only buy meat at the market and are totally detached from it all.

To the morons who wouldn't understand my intent and just rant out at me: THIS WAS NOT MEANT TO DECLARE CHINESE PEOPLE INFERIOR.

Anyway, sometime during China's communist rule, intellectuals were persecuted by authorities, and many of them fled to Taiwan and Vietnam.

Would that make the average viet/taiwanese intellectually superior to the average chinese, even by a small margin?

Again, this isn't supposed to declare the chinese inferior. I'm not even sure abou the facts, and I don't even know how many intellectuals fled.

That's why I have to know.

They hear what they owe and then start arguing with the clerk that something costs $2.99 instead of $3.99. Some poor employee has to waddle back to do a 10 minute price check, and of course, it turns out the customer looked at the wrong item. This is becoming the rule rather than the exception.
