Racism has seen a surge in popularity in the last couple of years, especially in pop culture and comedy. I don't think any race is being targeted directly, but sterotypes have become very well defined. I imagine this fade away in several years when people get sick of it.

No. I wouldn't say its getting worse, although its not improving that much either. Sadly, i don't think racism will ever stop...but it might get a bit better.
